We ordered back in January from Douglas. We bought some red oak handrail and newel posts because ours could not be salvaged in our remodel. The baluster we chose were the plain ones with knuckles. They are simple and clean and just what the wife wanted.

Their stair parts are House of Forgings, which is carried at local big box home improvement stores and are marked up at least 100%. Their prices were really great and customer service was good too. I placed two different orders, about 3 weeks apart from each other.

I ordered $1300 worth of oil rubbed bronze metal balusters, after using their site to design my staircase. The site was easy to use, and the online design tool was absolutely essential. I didn't order samples, so I kept my fingers crossed hoping that the products would meet my expectations. The items looked great, and the delivery was fast. Because of the size of my shipment, my products were shipped on a flatbed. I was able to track my order, and received it in less than a week. Also, the customer service team was excellent. They quickly responded to questions and addressed any issues I had. For example, although the packing was very good (with bubble wrap on each item), the freight company damaged one of my scrolls because of how they handled the flatbed. I promptly received a replacement with no hassles. Finally, because I had multiple orders, I worked with the customer service team to receive discounts to defray the cost of shipping. I am VERY satisfied with my experience with this company. GREAT JOB!!!

We ordered the Tuscan Hammered balusters from this company in the oil rubbed bronze finish. The baluster finish was the best we have seen and we ordered samples from many different vendors. Shipping was a little much but then again it was 500 pounds of solid iron! We have recommended you to a few freinds and hopefully they will be ordering soon!

Ordered Iron stair rails and shoes for my foyer area. All parts received in timely manner and were of great quality.
