Michael P. needs to dial it back. Not sure what rating scale my boi is using either. I give this place a 10/10 (10 being the highest -figure that’s common sense) Apparently common sense isn’t so common anymore. If you have to start raising you voice or arguing with people who are there to help your pet in need then that says more about you. Ain’t no body getting punished Mikey P. except your reputation. I’ve been taking my pets here for years and have had nothing but pleasant experiences. Whenever one of my pets is sick you best believe I’m going to full send it all the way to the AV veterinary. My puppy charlie had a broken leg so I took him in and from the moment we stepped in the door we were treated so well. My puppy had to have surgery so we had to leave him overnight. I was sad and nervous but they assured me he would be very well taken care of. And they were right. The vet techs called me to update me on charlie and they also told me I can come in anytime day or night to visit him. Which I did :) . All the ladies there were so kind and caring. But I do have 2 favorite ones. Crystal and Aimee. Those 2 are amazing. They constantly updated us on everything going on with charlie and even sent pics of my puppy to my cell phone while he was there. Dr. Antonio performed Charlies surgery and he was wonderful. He was not at all about the money. He was so concerned for charlie and even called us to check on him... I love this place. The service is excellent and the whole office is super clean.

We took our 12 year old lady because she was having trouble breathing. She had a liver infection and was taking antibiotics. My wife was freaking out and the Vet there took advantage of her vulnerability to convince her that it was our dogs time. We rejected their estimates because all we wanted was for them to help her breath so we could take her to her vet the next day. The vet at this place used psychology to make us feel that we were making the right choice. Every time she offered solutions to keep our Lady alive, she would frown and talk in a negative way. She even lied to us and discredited her own nurse's opinion about our dogs murmur. We found out it was not her time when we called Lady's vet to tell him the bad news. This place is horrible and expensive. Do NOT take your beloved pets there. Look at their bad reviews everywhere.

Went here tonight since this is the only 24 hour vet in this valley. The girl at the front desk was very cold, let me know the vet had no knowledge of farm animals. I had a sick rooster. Our vet office was closed till Monday. I was quoted $185 over phone. Get there and the vet comes out, says "Im going to stick a needle in his heart and he will be gone" Who says that to someone euthanizing their pet? Then the girl prints out the bill and its $278 with a $50 exam fee? I told her I was not paying an exam fee when the vet clearly did not examine my pet nor did he show an once of compassion. I will NEVER return here. People beware, this place is scam! I had no choice and next time I will travel to LA or Bakersfield. Im giving 1 star only because I have to in order to write a review.

Great emergency care! My friends dogs had tiff and both were hurt. Stitches needed for both. We had to drive dogs in one at a time, taking about 3 hours back and forth. Staff was alert, helpful and patient. I'll be taking my dogs here for sure!

On May,20,2015 my Dog ruptured a disc while playing, he was paralyzed in his hind legs it was the scariest thing I have ever experienced!! We quickly took him into the office and xrays,CT scan later revealed he needed Surgery Dr Sandhu performed Disc Surgery on Norman and he spent a week at the Hospital.I am so Thankful for a full service Emergency facility to be available to us from Surgery to Rehabilitation The Dr and Staff are Professional and Caring it's been almost 3 weeks now and Norman is now up and Walking Thanks to Dr Sandhu and everyone who was involved :)

I needed a foxtail removed from my dogs ear. I called and was quoted $50 for the removal and POSSIBLY an additional $65-85 if sedation was required! After arriving and waiting almost a full hour, the doctor was unable to see anything in his examination so he quoted me $220 for the sedation and removal! That's double what I was quoted over the phone! It was all just a bait and switch plan! I was absolutely furious and walked out!



DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS! ILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN!

I had previously used AV Veterinary Center for a cat that was suddenly paralyzed in the middle of the night. She had thrown a blood clot. I did refused the expensive laboratory work and had Lily euthanized. The staff and veterinarian were professional, friendly, compassionate and caring.



Last month my Australian shepherd wouldn't get up off the floor, again in the middle of the night. I took her to AV Veterinary Center. They said she had liver failure. Again I refused the expensive blood work and had Coco euthanized. Once again the staff and veterinarian were professional, friendly, compassionate and caring. This time I was very impressed with AV Veterinary Center.



My remaining dog, a mastiff rottweiler mix, was depressed due to the loss of her companion. I adopted a labrador retriever mix puppy from the Animal Shelter and brought him to AV Veterinary Center for a wellness check. I was so impressed with the service and staff that I decided to bring Apollo back for all his vaccinations and flea treatments.



Yes, they may be a little expensive, but they are an emergency veterinary center and it seems like my pets get sick in the middle of the night. I may not be able to afford all the testing and blood work, but I am ALWAYS treated with respect. Their services, staff and veterinarians are top notch and I'm glad they're in my community.

Took our dog in after being bit by a rattlesnake. They were uncaring and contentious and rude when we declined their $3,500 anti-venom plan. He has been bitten twice and both times High Desert Animal Care in Palmdale fixed him up for only $700.



The "vet" here was pretentious and seemed deeply offended before even speakng with us, no doubt he was told we could not afford his plan.

Not only did Doctor Petra Johansson Holland misdiagnosis my dog, she said that my dog was experience growing pains from soft bone tissue.



I took my dog to a real Vet that is licensed and asked for a second opinion and the x-rays clearly showed the damage to my dogs leg.



The night I came to Dr Sandu's clinic, that lady Dr said that because I had a large dog, they would have to put her under light anesthesia in order to get an x-ray done. But first I had to have blood work done so they knew she would not have any problems going under with her heart. It took over 4 hrs to get the x-rays done and they said they had to sedate her twice, then put her under - OMG my poor baby.

Then they told me she was experiencing growing pains and to keep her on a leash for potty breaks and walks and in a month she would be fine. They sent me home with 3 kinds of pills and tried to add a 4th,. The pills were for a month - taken 2 times a day.

I wish I would have done my research first and gone to Apple Valley Animal Hospital instead.



These greedy money hungry unskilled doctors took me for over $1000-

How do you think he opened up 2 new places and bought a house in Acton????

This is what I wrote ... I am going to post it now in the yellow pages and google... Just want to thank everyone (staff) at AV Animal ER for taking such great care of my dog Rocky. Special thanks to Dr. Sandhu who is an EXCEPTIONAL orthopedic surgeon!!! It irritates me to read such hateful comments about this hospital. This is the best place to take your animals if your animal is sick or hurt. My sharpei had a surgery in May this year due to a traumatic injury and just had another two a couple of days ago due to another injury... He is recuperating just fine. The staff is super friendly and was always notifying me with updates on my dog. Dr. Sandhu answered all of my questions and was always there for me when I was second guessing myself. I know how we all like to GOOGLE and diagnose our pets and if you are like me you probably go right ahead and tell the doctor you know what the problem is... Haha... Dr. Sandhu is very intelligent and very caring, he laid out my options and told me what was best for my dog. People! Remember... If you expect a good DOCTOR to perform life altering surgery on "anyone" (animal or human) , it's going to cost you a little money. You forget that these are licensed physicians... They didn't get their degree in just a couple of years... And it sure as hell wasn't cheap... So if you are so worried about "how much?" it's going to cost you then you shouldn't have bothered bringing your pet to the ER... It's the same with people, If you are worried about cost then don't go!! My dogs first surgery came all out of my pocket and with hard work, blood sweat and tears I paid it off. I own a house, I have bills and I am only an EMT at a hospital... But I still was able to pay for it. The staff never pressured me to pay my bill, I not once got called... I made payments and it was fine. I was smart enough to get insurance on my dog and it pays off!! Trupanion 90% pay and I pay 10%... Get insurance on your pets!! I just want to say that I appreciate AV Animal ER or as they are now called AV Veterinary Ctr for everything they have done for Rocky! I recommend this hospital to anyone with a sick or injured pet. They also have other services such as vaccinations, grooming/spa, rehab and many other services. Thank you guys again! I cannot express enough how much I really appreciate you guys!!

Crooked go anywhere but here !!

My dog broke her hip over the holiday weekend. My only option was AVER. Once I arrived they immediately took her into thier care. Once it was determined she needed surgury the following day they operated. They called me right before and right after. The AVER made me feel relaxed and that my dog was in very capable hands from beginning to end. I felt the entire staff was very friendly and that they cared about my dog. I would not hesitate to use them again!

Our dog was very sick and lethargic and could not walk, it was the middle of the night and no one was open but we had called our reg vet and they told us to call AV Animal ER. AV Animal ER has the most compassionate staff and Doctors. Dr. Sandhu is the best of the best and so is Dr. Holland -she spent so much time going over everything and showed such care and compassion, we can not thank AV ER for the wonderful care we received and they saved our dogs life. Their entire staff is amazing and so kind and caring, they treated us like family and really took such great care of our baby. We will never go any place else. I would tell all my family and friends and anyone that needs emergency care for your pet to go to AV Animal ER -they are professional and really care about your pet.

On December 20th, 2012 I had brought my English bulldog named Joey into my normal Vet one hour before closing. They took X-rays and found that he had stones in his belly, after attempting to put a catheter in they found that his urethra was blocked with stones causing him unable to urinate and starting backing up his entire system, thus slowly poisoning himself to death. The only option to save my animals life was emergency surgery and my Vet recommended that I take him to the ER to have surgery and attempt to save his life ASAP. Since Joey is a BIG part of my life NO way was I going to let him be put down he is my best friend. I brought Joey my 6 year old English bulldog to AV Animal ER & clinical care. I walked in to AV animal clinic with Copies of X-rays and a hurting bully, they rushed Joey and I into the room and Dr. Sanduh was right in reviewing the X-rays. He explained to me what needed to take place to save Joey’s life. Within minutes Joey was being prepped for a life changing event for the better. They fixed my baby boy! Mind you this is all just before Xmas. They took Joey in and hours later I received a phone call from the clinic that Joey is out of surgery and he is doing AMAZING. Yes they saved him I got to sleep that night. AV animal clinic not only saved his life that night and my family but they also took care of him while he was there for 4 days. My Xmas gift this year was having such a carrying and fast acting Dr. Sanduh of AV Animal Clinic but having my best buddy my bully. The staff at AV Animal Clinic was so nice and took such a good care of Joey. I highly recommend that you take your animals to them. They saved mine and I cannot thank them enough for what they did and how nice and professional they are.

Please go somewhere else this doctor needs his license revoked! He not only took out my dog spleen that was unnecessary but gave my dog back at a blood count of 10% which is critical!! Thankfully I took my dog to av animal hospital and they referred me to a specialist in la. Unfortunately, she did not make it. The vets that saw her after could not understand why the vet at AV Animal ER and Critical Care made the unnecessary surgery. So not only did my dog suffer from being sick but also from a surgery that made no sense. How can a doctor release a patient that probably die that same day and tell me that she just needs to be monitored!! The doctor has no clue ...

this business is crooked, The vet may be good as some of the reviews say but they will over charge you.

they will charge for things they don't do, I brought my very sick 6 week old puppy in they just took the puppy from me and asked me for $500, saying they most likely couldn't save it but I need to give them $500 before they would even try. I said no and ask for the puppy back, they wouldn't bring her to me until I gave them $55 then they brought her back to me dead.

Amazing!!! Dr. Sandhu is amazing! My dog was attacked by a coyote and had a badly broken bone. Dr. Sandhu was able to save my dogs leg and also provided me with all the emotional support I needed. My dog is a part of our family and I knew he was in good hands with Dr. Sandhu and his staff. His prices are reasonable and he has excellent bedside manner. I hope that i will never have to use his services again but if i do, i will definitely go back and i recommend him to any other pet owners who encounter a pet emergency! AV Animal hospital and its staff are simply the best! I am forever grateful to them!

I went there on a Monday for $55 dollars worried sick about my puppy laying around and not eating so I took him to the vet that's open late.. Well when I got there, its very nice and they are friendly let me not take that away but it seem more of a money thing the doctor came in did a lil exam said my dog stomach hurts a bit but than sent in the receptionist to go over options, that wasn't so bad it was actually the next day when I called back letting them know my dog wasn't doing any better off the pedialyte that he recommended. I asked if I came in since I just left not even 24hrs will I have to pay for the another exam? And they told me if I come back in it would be a charge of 95 dollars to relook at him and the testing was going to be more too. I wouldeve hope they would have been more compassionate for the dog rather than the money since I just was there and I didn't mind paying for the testing, so I went to a different veterinarian for the testing and paid 35 dollars for the exam again and at Palmdale vet hospital very.......compassionate and everyone is nice there!! Money wasn't the problem is my point but they didn't seem like they cared if my dog came or not.
