On 03/23/13 we signed a contract, selected materials, and made a 10% deposit with Desert Springs Renovations. Mr. Mark Diamond, our pool consultant from Desert Springs Renovations, was over 1 hour late to our appointment to make the deposit and select materials after he told us he would be there in ten minutes. The contract stated the work would begin on 4/3/13. The work began a day late on 4/4/13(Thursday). While grinding off the old Kool Deck, the subcontractors cut a PVC pipe for the pool filter. Mr. Diamond was notified that day of the cut pipe. The job could not be completed until a plumber repaired the cut pipe. A plumber was not sent to our house until Monday afternoon 4/8/13 and he only came because I strongly urged Mr. Diamond it needed to be repaired ASAP.Mr. Diamond told me the rest of the renovation would begin on Tues 4/9/13 first thing in the morning. His workers did not show up until 2:30 in the afternoon. When they arrived they told me they could not complete any work because Mr. Diamond did not order the stone needed, which was a major part of the renovation. They stated the stone would take 2-3 weeks to order. We had to rush to the opposite side of town to pick out stone that was in stock at the stone yard so work could continue the next day. The salesperson at the stone yard explained Mr. Diamond should have known that the stone we initially picked is special order, as the yard keeps very limited inventory. Because Mr. Diamond did not place the order when we made the deposit was had to choose a second choice option to keep the project on schedule. The evening of 4/9/13, the subcontractor for the Kool Deck called and stated he was told the plumbing was fixed that day and would arrive early on 4/10 to pour concrete. I told him the pluming was fixed the day prior(4/8) and he responded, âThat would have been nice to know, Mark told me it was done today. I would have had someone there working today if I knew it was fixed yesterday.â Once again, Mr. Diamondâs negligence and lack of communication delayed progress. Mr. Diamond told me work would proceed on 4/10 at 10am with the new stone we had picked. It wasnât until noon on 4/10 his employees arrived, but could not begin work for over an hour because they brought the wrong materials and had to wait for the correct mortar to be delivered. They sat in a truck parked outside my house for over an hour not completing any work.On 4/12 I went out in my back yard to see the progress made during the afternoon of 4/11 while I was at work. I noticed a large pile of muddy mortar that was beginning to harden in my grass. I had to remove the mortar causing damage to my lawn. Mr. Diamondâs employees did not come to finish on 4/12.On 4/13 the renovation was completed. I did not hear from Mr. Diamond to see if we were happy with the work or for him to check that everything was done correctly until I contacted him on 4/19 to schedule final payment. He told me he would contact me Monday 4/22. After not hearing from him, on Tues 4/23 I contacted him to schedule payment and requested discounted service for the inconvenience and me wasting days off from work to be home on days when nothing was done because a lack of materials and communication. We also had to make a second preference choice on materials to keep the project on schedule because Mr. Diamond did not do his job and order the materials in a timely manner when we made our initial deposit. In addition, there was mortar left on my lawn causing damage. Mr. Diamond refused to discount his sub-par service stating he did not charge us for the plumber even though it was the workers who cut the pipe.Mr. Diamond clearly does not know how to communicate with customers, plan for renovations, or care about customer satisfaction.

We recently moved into a home here in Las Vegas and the pool had been neglected for years, the tile was falling off the wall, the plaster was cracked and pitted throughout, out pool deck was cracked and crumbling, the equipment had been stolen and the wiring cut. It looked like a hopeless project, but a few thousand dollars later, we have a Like-New Pool and Spa for our family and friends to enjoy !!!! You guys did an amazing job, thank you !!!
