Nice guys doesn't mean quality job.



(after posting this, I looked at many of the other reviews. It looks like they may be posting fake reviews. Funny how many of the people who posted, also posted for another city garage). Just something I thought I would share.

So. I my true thoughts about City..



Jeff, is a nice guy, but.....!!!

They double charging for removal of an intake, once for plugs, once for coil. Should only be charged once. The part $150 for the coil which they ordered it from AutoZone. My cost at autozone for the same part $58. From the dealer cost is $89.



After agreeing to them doing repairs, I decided to get a quote from the dealer. SHOCKED. $150 less.



This guys also failed to test drive the car. So performing what they thought was wrong, they missed the cats which is what I suggested it was when I brought it in.



5 weeks I was dealing with these guys. I really was able to see how they work.

MANYpeople who had one problem fixed, brought the car back because it was still having problems. Jeff, being a nice guy, made them feel like he was taking good care of them. OMG! I was floored. You should NEVER get a car out of a shop with problem you took it in for. Ok, maybe not never, but very rare.



City was so nice to say, let me look at it then inform them that often when you fix one problem it exposes another. I was just Shocked when people where buying it while thinking they're getting great service.





Simple. If you take your car in. You should NEVER get it back with the same or simulate problems.



In addition. I found their cost for same repairs, $150 more than the dealer. I spoke to friends who recommended me to this shop. I suggested that they call the dealer and get a bid on all the repairs city has done for them in the past. They were floored to see, every time, city was much more then the dealer which by the way, has much higher educated repair techs. City only has 1 in each shop. The others take simple 2 weeks courses to get a certification.



It’s simple. A basic water pump, breaks are easy. Their guys who hang out around autozone who offer these services for next to nothing because it’s easy work.. You know the quality of a shop when it comes to their ability to determine a server problem, and properly repair it. Like in many cases I seen while waiting on my car to be fixed, one problem at a time that many people think that being a nice guy means that they do great work. Anyone with basic knowledge can change a water pump. Don't get excited about that, but when it comes to real problems. That is when you see their true ability to problem solve and provide you a full list while correcting the car before it ever leaves the shop.



And to top it off, to be over charged for parts and double charged for removing the same part 2 times is a clear picture of what you are dealing with.



My suggestion. Go to dealer, then call around and price shop. Dealers are required to use OEM so many times the repair cost should be more, however, at least you will have the best techs look at your car and you will know truly every possible problem.



In my case, they refused additional service. After they were done, I had to take my car to the dealer for the dealer to tell me City broke a wire. So when city fixed the wire, they clipped in on. Again I took it back to dealer because I was still getting a service code; again the dealer had to inform me once again that city didn't fix the wire properly. Over $200 I paid to the dealer for them to tell me what city was failing to do?



Up to you, but I am not saying all this just to make something up. Yes, Nice guy, but he's not able to say I don't know, let me get back to you, they don't test dive simply take the codes and start from there. Shocking because codes are simply starting points. They often another problem that is actually the problem.



So, good luck.

Oh man I dread leaving this review... Just don't want others to know about this place and not leave any openings for me. Been coming for a few years now and I figure the word is going to get out anyway. But this place is great and the service is always top notch.

I would tell everyone in the world to come here. City Garage is great! I had my transmission changed for only a couple of thousand compared to another place that was charging me two thousand on top of what City Garage was charging. I made the obvious decision to take my car to City Garage.

What can I say about Jeff H? There's not enough words to express my satisfaction. He is a huge asset to City Garage. I honestly don't know if I would go to City Garage if it wasn't for him. There are numerous shops to go to but I want to go to the shop that Jeff works at. Thank you City Garage for hiring people with such good character (Jeff).

I needed emergency service for my F250 that was turning off suddenly, and the first three shops I took it to, they just couldn't figure out what the problem was. Here, they narrowed it down, repaired it and the prices were reasonable. Very good service and I left happy.

This shop has been around for a while now and I have always seen a steady flow of customers. So when my own car started actin crazy, the first thing that came to my mind was this place. I'm glad I went with my first instinct because the work that they did was so good and it was finished fast. I will remain a customer here always.

Good prices, funny, friendly staff that know their customers by name and always a great job done by them all. I trust them, and that's not easy to do now at days.
