Glezer-Kraus was established in 1969 but operated under the name of Longines/Whitnauer. In 1983 Henry Kraus and Tamara Glezer changed the company name to Glezer-Kraus Watch Repair. We are the Factory Authorized repair center for Ebel, Concord, Movado, ESQ, Ball, and Gucci. We have been a Factory Service Center for the North American Watch Company since 1984 and were authorized to repair Piaget, Corum, Concord, and Movado until the company spun off and Piaget and Corum were sold. Currently, we are the only watch repair company in the Midwest authorized to repair for the Movado Group. Being authorized also gives us the privilege of being able to repair watches under the manufacturers warranty.

Stay away from this business!

I took my watch to this place because the face was peeling. I also took my wife's watch to get a link replaced. When I left my watch for an estimate it was in working condition. When I refused to pay what it was worth to fix it and picked it up, it was not working. When I informed the company, they told me that the watch was not working when I brought it in. Called me a liar and stated that others had tried this too. Keep in mind that I was not asking them to place my watch in working order, I just expected an explanation. Never go to this place the ladies are nasty and mean. If you do check your ticket before you leave, they seem to place the incorrect service on them. If many customers have complained about this, there must be some intentional acts involved by the technician and the company.

THANKS GLEZER-KRAUS

I brought my husband a Movado for Christmas and he wanted to change the clasp. Went out to Gurnee and they referred us to Glezer-Kraus.

Such a wonderful help the girls were. They explained to us why it was better to have the clasp that came with the watch and they took out links so as the watch fit better. Very friendly and helpful and they work fast. I even had my battery changed in my watch. Thanks will definitely keep their phone number....

Watch Doctors

I have a Movado and since Glezer-Kraus is the only service center in the Mid West I went over there to get it fixed. To my surprise they repair a lot of different brands. I brought in my Omega and Tag Heuer later and they fixed all 3 of my watches. They were very professional and knowalagable. My Tag Heuer was in a lot of trouble since I excidently put it through a wash in my washing machine. They fixed it up and made it look brand new. I don't know how they do it but I am sertainly glad they are around. Try them out yourself.

Fantastic Job!!!

Glezer-Kraus was recommended to me after my Jeweler/Watchmaker retired. A friend of mine told me he used them many times before and was very happy with the work they did. I brought in my husband's Rolex and my Piaget. I knew my Piaget would need a lot of work so I was very concerned. When I got my watches back if it was not for the serial #'s matching I would have sworn they gave me brand new watches. Now I don't understand what they needed to do on the inside except both time pieces work wonderfully but I am here to tell you my watches looked great! They polished them both, changed their crystal and I feel as if I was beyond taken care of well. If you have watches to fix definitely go there, I highly recommend them. The only thing is they do not repair cheap watches. They told me they will change batteries but they prefer not to do repairs on any watches made in China. They specialize in all Swiss made movements. Since I do have some cheaper watches they agreed to repair them since I was already their customer, so they did accommodate me in every way. They are the BEST!!!!

Very Knowlagable people!!!

I have a very old watch that is very sentimental to me. No one would touch this watch. It has not worked in over two decades. When I brought it in Glezer-Kraus they told me that no parts are available. I explained how important it was to me to get this watch up and running. After a day I got a call with an estimate. They actually were making the part for me. I now have a working watch. Price was right and I was treated great. I literally took my watch to over a dozen of places who refused to touch it. Very happy with the work.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR WATCH HERE!! recieved it worse from when I brought it in

This business was recommended by another to me and thought I would give them a shout. As soon as I got there I didn't think things would go well. I felt like a second class person and was ignored for a while (the place is very small) and they made it seem like I was bothering them when I did get help.I went for an appraisal, cleaning, and minor fix estimate and was told that I would get an estimate the next day. After waiting eight days I called them and they told me they couldn't do anything with my watch and that it was fake.I NEVER lose my cool when it comes to businesses but when I got my watch back with even more damage I couldn't take it any more. I also found out that they could fix it but "didn't want to be responsible for it."DO NOT TAKE YOUR WATCH HERE. I cant imagine a $1000+ watch store running business like this. got my watch fixed and cleaned for $30 at another place with no problem

Horrible Service and communication

Recently sent watches in for servicing, was not charged the original given pricing, work completed before authorization was given. Employees poorly trained when it comes to providing information concerning pricing. Will not use or reccomend ever again.

Great Job

My watch was repaired at Glezer-Kraus and was done great! I was happy with the service. They automatically checked the movement and cleaned my case and bracelet when changing my battery. Very friendly and helpfull staff. I was so happy with their service I brought in my father's Rolex for repair. When they were done with it, it looked brand new. Great Place, highly recommended.
