I went to The Jewelry Appraiser for an appraisal and had an amazing experience. Deborah has so much knowledge and experience in the field. She explained every step of the appraisal (performed right in front of me) where I can say with confidence that she is someone you can trust and who really knows what she is talking about! She is extremely helpful, kind, and dedicated to her work. Louie provided excellent guidance into ensuring the appointment was scheduled and sent a confirmation as well. I would definitely recommend The Jewelry Appraiser to everyone.

Deborah and Louie are among the best in the field of jewelry and watch appraisals. Her credentials brought me to her to appraise some family jewelry and pocket watches. I was thrilled to find such a highly qualified appraiser so close to home. Deborah's vast knowledge of her passion is so impressive, but she does not rely on just her knowledge, she researches each and every piece and includes every detail in the appraisal report. Deborah and Louie are so easy and fun to work with from scheduling the appointment to receiving the final appraisal report. I highly recommend them for any appraisal you may have. Working with Deborah and Louie was a wonderful experience. Louie was very quick at responding to my messages and calls and set us up with an appointment with Deborah within a couple of days. He was very flexible at accommodating us once he knew that we were driving from another state. Once we met Deborah on the day of the appraisal, we knew that she was very knowledgeable only after a few minutes from the kind of information she was giving us on our pieces of jewelry. We took a written appraisal for one of my pieces and verbal ones for the others. She took the time to inspect every piece carefully. After she appraised our pieces, we got a lot of assurance that all the pieces we had purchased were worth the money we had paid for them. Deborah was very honest and very organized in her work. She pointed out a fissure in one of my jewelry pieces and she also assisted in making an appointment for me with the store(seller) to have us meet with their jewelry designer and exchange that piece for something else (which we could design ourselves with the help of their designer). I am working with them currently on this and Deborah has promised to help me with anything I need during this process and I know I can count on her!!

Deborah is the best there is. I found her through referrals from family members years ago and continue to bring my family’s jewelry to her for review. Deborah has an incredible attention to detail, expert level of knowledge of gemology and takes time with her clients to both clean the jewelry and explain the specifics. I feel like I get a class in gemology every time we go. It is very much appreciated. The rates are also very, very reasonable. We will continue to take our jewelry to Deborah in the future!

Nothing short of skilled, knowledgeable, professional, honest and accommodating— Debòrah and Louie did NOT disappoint. My fiancé and I were given an appointment on New Years Day ( apparently they do NOT stop working! ) where we sat with Debòrah while she explained the gem’s origin, how the value is determined , how to care for, clean and properly insure my new engagement ring. We left her office relieved to know the quality of the item (the jewelry world can be a deceitful place, you know) and relieved to know Deborah was able to take a forensic analysis of our item should any issue arise in the future. Her turnaround time of the report & attention we were given was also incredible considering the volume of work rightfully sent her way. You will not regret visiting this office for any appraisal needs.. and should you foolishly need to be convinced of Debòrah’s qualifications further than her stern and well-informed verbal introduction , just check for the heaps of certifications that might as well serve as her office’s wall paper.

Working with Deborah and Louis was a wonderful experience. This is the second time I am using their appraisal services. Deborah is the consummate appraisal professional (incredible amount of knowledge of gemstones and the industry) and you know from the moment you walk into their office, they love what they do and understand how important it is to get it right. She had all the equipment needed to do the examination right there in front of me. She took the time and went over every detail of my coveted pieces of jewelry and spoke to me straight. From the start, you know Deborah is a fierce consumer advocate. Going above and beyond, she offered her services (unsolicited) with a ring that needed to go back to the seller for replacement and to help me negotiate with the seller directly. I really appreciated that. Deborah is a rare, rare gem!!

I have found the Wonder Woman appraiser of the jewelry industry who strives for the best going above and beyond and her name is Deborah villepigue. Deborah is truly one of a kind, she’s is unlike any of the other appraisers I have had the bad luck of meeting. Upon entering her establishment you are kindly greeted by Lou who is also an attentive and a welcoming person. Deborah not only appraised my jewelry, she gave me a world of knowledge about them that I was unaware of and she stands by her work entirely. Learning she has helped so many people through jewelry forensics who have had bad experiences made me feel comfortable. I appreciate her candor and honesty, she took the time to explain many things about my pieces and helped me out a great deal.
Deborah is very dedicated and knowledgeable, she has created a special soap for jewelry which I love because for many years I have been using the glorified jewelry cleansers which are actually toxic and do not do what they advertise and need to be banned. I left with a great deal of information and a fantastic experience.

The jewelry industry can be so overwhelming and deceitful... but NOT with Deborah. Deborah is ONE OF A KIND. She made what would have been an overwhelming process so enjoyable and fun. Deborah is trustworthy, knowledgeable and a beautiful person in general. She took her time to explain all the details of my engagement ring, I never felt rushed and I always felt welcomed. Deborah is absolutely amazing ! I walked into her office and immediately felt such amazing vibes. She is so knowledgeable and she cared for my pieces as if they were her own. I had my engagement ring and my wedding band appraised. She was so informative and made sure i understood the process and everything she was doing. I met with Deborah and she was amazing. She knew the origin of each of the stones in my infinity ring and was even able to identify where the stones were cut.
