I was very impressed with everyone I worked with from West Shore Window & Door. I have many compliments on the doors. The quality & workmanship can't be beat! The doors have enhanced the overall appearance of the house.

I just wanted to say for all those negative people out there that I personally found them very knowledgable an didnt feel pressured at all. The way they explained opertunity for me to save money really didn't come off as high pressure an I could have chose to wait an paid the everyday price. An when j asked the sales representive if I had to buy today he said no. So I just fell bad is all I'm saying for all those people that I'm guessing were just being closed minded. Thank you West Shore Window for educating me an helping me through the process wouldn't even consider another company, can't wait till you start doing everything for home improvements

My experience was not a good one, they have a pitch, 1st they show you reviews from people in your area and say a few of them are from your neighbor hood. Then they tell you how awesome their product is. This take an hour, then they ask you to write a review about their service? The next step is where things get unacceptable, the quote $10,000+ for a double swing door that would not match. Then when you say you will think about it and get back to them, they deploy the hard sell, if we leave today it will cost us X amount to come back, so if you lock in tonight we will put your single double sing door in for $9,500.

Our experience with this company matches exactly the negative reviews posted elsewhere: West Shore Window and Door aims to sell expensive windows through unscupulous methods. A salesman came out to give a free quote but spent 2 hours providing exhaustive information about the product (and we had to cut him off). He asked a series of patronizing and condescending questions but refused to interact with our answers ("we want affordable windows"). His goal through these questions was to lead us to the logical end that one window alone (Park Avenue) would satisfy us, and to take as long as possible in giving us the estimated price. In fact, the salesman clearly 'lingered' at our house making small talk about everything from pets to what we were going to have for dinner. Initially, we thought the salesman was friendly but had undeveloped social skills (who does a 2 hour "estimate" at dinner hour and continues to ramble as we prepare dinner?), but we soon realized that this was all part of a stratagem aimed at 1) increasing our confidence in the company, 2) burning up our time, and 3) delaying the estimate. For, when we finally cut him off and asked for the estimate, he acted offended and hurt, and when he walked away without our commitment to purchase, he acted as though we had wasted his time. In reading other online reviews with similar experiences, we see now that these behaviors were all part of the "game" and marked a final trick up the sleeve: the salesman conveys great disappointment that his helpfulness has been so poorly returned and guilts the customer into purchasing the most expensive windows in the Harrisburg region. There were other ruses that surfaced during our two-hour interaction with the WSW&D salesman including the sudden declaration of a requirement that we purchase at least three windows and a special "phone call" to the base to ask for an exception to this rule (we doubt he was actually talking to anyone at 7 PM). Such deceits do not make us confident in this company or in the "positive" customer reviews the company carefully crafts and releases online. This company may sell and reliably install high-quality windows, but its methods for doing so are at best questionable and at worst fraudulent. That the company is now selling via Living Social $150 vouchers for $500 worth of window work means that it will make money off these estimates from unsuspecting buyers who think they can get a decent set of windows for $1000.
