Provided by YP.comI have just recently got a new puppy and if my family or I have any questions we go here. It is a great place and Dr.Puterbaugh tells you everything you need to know. She is honest and straight-forward. Last time I brought my dog there she knew what to do automatically. I trust her with all of my animals and I deffinantly recommend this place to my friends. The facility is very clean and kept tidy. I have seen the volunteers hard at work and doing a great job. Dr. Puterbaugh and her vet techs are great with the animals and know what they are doing. I will deffinantly go here and no other place.

Provided by YP.comThis place does not feel like a clinic at all, it is very cold and has an unwelcoming feeling. There are strays running around and no sense of organization. I am very surprised that this place still runs and I am curious to know if they are routinely inspected by a regulatory agency. Dr. Puterbaugh was very rude and we felt very uneasy with everything she said along with her demeanor. Dr. Puterbaugh has too many “volunteers” around and made us feel uneasy of who was qualified to take care of our pet and who was observing. She was very short with us and we left her clinic with little information about the procedures that were performed on our pet. Save your time and money and find a vet that will make you feel confident in their work. You will feel much better.

Provided by YP.comMy cat had an emergency and we found this place at 1:30 in the morning. I placed the call to make sure they were open and was told to bring him in. Everyone in the house decided to go with us to take the cat. Once we arrived we were greeted and questions answered. We were handed the bill before any treatment was started. The cost was actually cheaper then a normal vet bill would be for that type of treatment. We left and about an hour after we left Dr. Puterbaugh called to let us know the extent of the damage. She explained the worse case scenario, which I would prefer to hear rather than it being sugar coated. She then offered to keep my cat Claws for an extra night for no extra charge. I called at least three times a day checking on him. Never once did it seem to bother them that I was calling. They answered all the questions that I had and if I need clarification, they delivered it. They kept Claws for three days and when I went to pick him up we also received all the information needed for home care. We found out that his eye needed to be removed and she took us back to show us some of the other animals that she had preformed other surgeries for. The first thing that we noticed was the cages were super clean and the liter boxes in the cages were clean along with food and water. The animals back there were all content and seemed like they were comfortable. It was a huge relief since after coming back home the morning of the occurrence I was unaware of who we had left Claws with. It was a spur of the moment thing since it was an emergency. I can tell you that no matter what these reviews happen to say, this is a very caring and compassionate vet. I know that as soon as Claws feels better he will be thanking them as much as we were.

Provided by YP.comThe Doctor and the Vet Techs are some of the most knowledgeable vets I have ever had the pleasure of finding. They are caring and compassionate towards both the patients, and the patient's families. Doctor Putterbaugh uses a cautious approach towards diagnostics, recommending what is best for the patients, without recommending un-needed proceedures.
Unfortunately, not all customers appreciate her knowledge and training. The night I was there, another customer was arguing with her, because HE had done research on google, and HE new better how to treat his dog. All Jackie could do was tell him that she would do only the procedures he authorized, but it would not cure the dog, and he would probably be returning to get additional treatment. I simply can't imagine telling my doctor how he will conduct treatment, and it amazes me that there are idiots who will do this with a vet.

Provided by YP.comI brought my 3 dachshunds in to get their teeth cleaned as well as get a general exam done, since one of them is getting up there in age. I was given a price quote when I dropped my dogs off, it had a low estimate and a high estimate, since they wouldn't know how much it would be until they did the teeth cleaning for each dog and knew what was going to be necessary. It was nice because they bundle all of their services into one fee, including the after-care stuff, so there isn't any surprise fee or something later.
Before I left, they advised me that my oldest Doxie was at higher risk for complications, turns out older animals are more susceptible to problems when you sedate them. I hadn't heard that from a vet before, so I was really happy they informed me of the risks. They made sure I was still comfortable having them sedate the oldest dog, which meant a lot to me. I asked about another procedure my regular vet had wanted to do for awhile, and they told me the doctor would check on it during the exam.
They called me that afternoon to let me know I could come and get my 3 dogs, and that everything went ok. When I came in after work, they went over what they did with each dog. Each one of them had pretty bad tartar buildup on their teeth, and each one had to have one or two teeth removed. They gave me antibiotics to take home, and they told me how to give them, and advised me to not feed them any dry food for a couple of days because their teeth would be a bit sensitive.
I asked about the procedure my vet had been wanting to do, and the doctor told me that none of the signs were present that would indicate that the test was necessary, and she would gladly talk to my vet to make sure all of the bases were covered. The doctor called me back a couple of days later, and said she had talked to my vet and they had agreed that the test wasn't needed. That alone saved me a ton of money, and this place could have just done the test anyway and charged me, but they didn't!
I thought they were just an emergency only place, but it turns out they do regular vet stuff like check-ups too, so I'm going to start bringing my dachshunds here from now on. What's not to like about being able to see your vet 24x7, instead of only on weekdays when you're working?

Provided by YP.comThis is the most pathetic emergency pet clinic I have ever been to. My 12 year old boxer has seizures that are sometimes frequent and sometimes not. Either way, I'm used to them and I know there isnt much I can do about them. He is very old for a boxer. Its just that this time was different and he wasn't acting right so I knew it wasn't just the seizure. Instead of the them addressing the concerns I was having, they were more concerned about why he was having seizures. I told her it was because he is old and that it has been happening for a while now. She then has to go call the doctor to see when she would be done doing her errands. When I questioned that, she explained that they are a 24 hour clinic, not a emergency clinic (even though they advertise it that way) and that their doctors or only on call. Really? She said I would have to wait on her to get back from doing her errands and that I would have to pay $255 for them to do lab work so that they could find out why he is having seizures. I told her I could see my vet for that in the morning and that I was there for the problems he was having right then. She then told me I could pay the money and wait for the doctor or if I prefered, I could go to my own vet the following day. Needless to say, I left.
Ms. Willis, we're sorry that you had a misunderstanding at our hospital. Clearly, you not only misunderstood what services our facility offers, but you also misunderstood the cost of our services (even though you were presented an estimate.) When you presented Bud to our hospital, you stated that you had never had blood work run to determine if there was an underlying cause for his seizures. Age is not a diagnosis for why seizures occur, but there ARE many underlying conditions that can cause seizures (short and long term) and blood work allows us to determine what would be the best treatment for that particular pet. There is no single magical "fix" for seizures and each case is assessed and treated based upon the specific needs of the pet. In addition, many of the medications used to treat seizures can have adverse side effects if there are underlying liver or kidney issues. Without knowing why your dog was having seizures, and not knowing the state of his organs, it would be very difficult for us to provide the best care. For $255, we offered to perform a full physical exam, a full organ chemistry, a complete blood count, electrolytes, an iv catheter, fluids and overnight hospitalization. In addition, this $255 included the charge for hospitalization which we offered at a full discount because you had to wait for our veterinarian to return to our facility after she left to retrieve emergency medications for another pet hospitalized with us. However, you failed to mention in your review that we also offered a smaller estimate of just $190 which included the full physical exam, lab work and overnight observation (again, a $85 discount) which could have been performed and ready for analysis when the veterinarian arrived 15 minutes following your departure. You elected, instead, to take your seizing dog home instead of allowing him to receive the help he needed, simply because the doctor was assisting another critical patient. Again, we are sorry that our full service facility did not meet your expectations but it is not our policy to try to treat a seizure pet, regardless of its age, as an out patient. Obviously, as you noted, the seizures were not the "normal" seizures that your companion routinely experiences which would indicate even further to us the extreme importance of diagnostics. We're sorry if the thorough nature of our business seems unreasonable, but our focus is entirely on providing the exact care a pet needs. Nothing more. Nothing less. You will also find that our hospital offers full panel lab work, around the clock hospitalization and care by qualified individuals, on-site blood donors for ALL blood types (both cat and dog), radiographic imaging, a surgical suite set up for all types of surgery, etc. This makes us entirely able to advertise our services as "emergency" and, yes, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Provided by YPmobileWe had to rush our 6 month old puppy to the vet Sunday night. He was checked over fully and was given medicine to take home. The next night we had to rush him back. He has parvo. My mistake was that I declined the test the night before even though they said that he could have it. Since parvo is not cheap to treat we was told what we can do at home. We all know that their is a 50,50 chance of living. I am so happy that we caught it early. He's on the road to recovery and so far he's our little mircle dog. The staff and nurses were all so very nice and loving. I would recommand them to anyone. We are going to take all of our pets here for now on..

Provided by YP.comPLEASE!!! Do not use this clinic! One of my family members had the most horrible experience there. Their with lack of skills, unprofessional environment combined with the advice from others veterinarians, I will never under any circumstances use this emergency vet!

Provided by YP.comMe and my husband went to this clinic. Our first impression was great. The "doctor" and "nurse" were very friendly and took their time with us....but that really doesn't matter if your animal has been diagnosed wrong. We were told that our animal had a serious, life long genetic disorder which would require special attention. We were very sad and my husband suggested that we maybe get a second opinion before we alter our pets entire life style. We then went to a specialist 2 days later and were advised to not take our pet back to this clinic for confidential reasons. Aside from those reasons, we wouldn't have taken him back regardless because he was indeed diagnosed completely wrong. INFACT our pet was prescribed a medicine that could have potentially made his condition much worse. Lucky we found out soon and our pet is perfectly fine other than a minor injury. Not only are we completely disgusted with the so called "doctor" and "nurses" that work here (who cannot make what should be a simple diagnoses for a licensed professional) , we are unhappy that we were charged 180 dollars for medicine we didn't need and for wasting our time. I highly doubt this place will be up and running for a whole lot longer.
We spent time searching in our database for any recent transaction of $180 that involved a “life long genetic disorder”. None exist. Nor do any from a client with the first name “Ann”. Due to the fact that we are involved in a legal dispute with a local “specialist”, we have reason to believe that this is YET ANOTHER poor review by this business.

Provided by YP.comDr. Puterbaugh is outstanding! After seeing another doctor for two years, I decided to try her. She quickly diagnosed the condition with one simple test! Now our dog is on the road to recovery and his skin is healing well. All someone needed to do was test his thyroid. Why no one else thought of it I don't know, but she took one look and stated that it was probably low thyroid. the test came back and confirmed it. Now his hair is growing back and he has more energy. Thank you Dr. P!

Provided by YP.comSo you are probably reading this because you're looking for a new vet?
Here is what I think : I have had nothing but wonderful care at the All Hours Animal Hospital & Emergency Center (AHAHEC) since they opened a few months ago. Dr. Jackie really knows her stuff and has taken wonderful care of our cats over the last year. Her staff here at her new clinic is top notch. I run a non-profit cat rescue and her staff treats each rescue we've taken there (over 60!) like they were their own pets. She even has a big Adoption Room with cats she has personally rescued who are available for adoption. This may be common in a lot of area vet offices but how many do you know that also have special needs cats for adoption that come with free vet care for life? Thanks AHAEC for all you do...keep up the good work!
