Let me start by saying I never used their services because I had to cancel them on the moving day because of poor customer service.

Facts people should know

1. This is not a moving company instead they are brokers who charge you and contract your job to another moving company but honestly there is nothing wrong with that as long as they refer you to a good moving company so though I knew this I went ahead with them hoping if I'm being charged 400$ deposit upfront for their services they would refer me to a good moving company.

2. Though the policy says the deposit is refundable it is only if you cancel it out 7 days before your moving date but the problem is they won't disclose you the details of the moving company until 48 hrs before the move at least that's what happened in my case

3. The moving company assigned to me had very bad ratings online. I was worried so called the assurance van lines on Monday he day before my move and they referred me to the moving company and customer service was not good the lady I spoke to was not even courteous enough to answer my questions properly. So I called back assurance van lines and they said it's too close they can't do anything.

Despite knowing I'll loose my deposit I cancelled and booked another moving company because my furniture is worth more money than what I'm paying for the move and honestly I would have paid extra if they were little courteous enough while talking to their customers.

Again this is only my experience some one whose contract went to a good moving company might have had a great experience but the problem is you won't know the moving company until 48 hrs prior to the move and if you don't like them it's too late to cancel as the deposit becomes non refundable.

The foreman and his two helpers came out to do the job. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They wrapped everything that needed to be wrapped and everything came out fine and with no damages. The team was great! They were efficient, willing to work, friendly and effective. They turned out to be okay. No complaints at all. I shall certainly hire this mover for all my future long distance moves and I have already referred them to my cousin who will move next month.

STAY AWAY!!!! I'd give 0 stars if I could!! They sound amazing on the phone when they're trying to get your business but when they actually came I was under quoted by $350.... Now its been over 21 days and I still haven't received any of our furniture/clothes. I had to purchase new clothes for my wife and I for a wedding because we packed it with the movers! The company feels no remorse and un-responsible for the long delay and won't lower their costs for their own inconvenience on me. Also, was told my belongings were basically held hostage until I pay them the FULL remainder before they unload anything. So if you're looking for a moving comapny to take 3+ weeks from Texas to Michigan then you know who to choose!!!

Assurance van lines certainly knows how to impress someone. From the beginning, the sales rep was very kind, polite and well mannered. He spoke so calmly and gently. He took the time to come to my home and give me an estimate. He wasn’t like other representatives! He offered me a good deal which also made me want to choose them more. On the moving day, 3 men arrived early in the morning and started to work. They took good care of all the glassware and were extra careful with the chandelier. All the mirrors, electronics, household items were nicely packed. Nothing was damaged upon delivery and the price never changed. Great work!

They tell you exactly what you want to hear: You'll be taken care of and that the move will happen in an organized and timely fashion. That nothing bad will happen... First red flag should have been that they were a middle man for my situation and hired a 1 star rated company who has not had a good review in over a year. When I called to dispute, they told me to give them a chance and that everything would be ok.

The movers came to pick up my things, charged me $800 more then the quote because my bed was larger then they expected. Next thing I know my charge doubled and when the movers arrived in Nevada, I had a chair broken and they misplaced my other chair and leaf to make a full dining set. Still cannot find my furniture. Horrific experience.

While talking about Assurance van lines one thing I must mention that they provide a lot more than what they charge. I have recently used this company while moving to my new apartment. The sales guy offered me a great deal at the first place and then their movers did awesome for us. They are very punctual, friendly, helpful, skilled, committed, speedy and most importantly willing to give their best. None of felt the heat of the move or none of us actually moved even a finger during that time. All went as planned and smooth as silk. There was no hidden charge, no delay or no unwanted issues. Everything was picture perfect, nice and easy.

AWFUL PEOPLE. They will sell you on a "risk free" $800 deposit. Yet, when trying to cancel, they won't give you that $800 and will give you QUITE an attitude with awful language. I just gave them $800 yesterday and the following day, I can't cancel it. Saying, "Don't do this to yourself", "Don't be selfish", and "We have a really good relationship with the credit card companies so you will lose". I

The phone estimate is not accurate, the delivery date is subject to wild variation, and the company will not notify you if there is a change of plans. I was told that our things would be here several days ago, and every time I call to find out where they are, I'm told that they will be in touch with me later about what time the delivery will be made the following day. The next day arrives, and I've received no phone call, the movers aren't here, and the cycle repeats itself. Customer service and dispatch are not helpful, have been rude, and have left us in the dark when they promise to contact us. Do not expect your things to arrive when they say they will. Do not hire this company.

Due to the price, I went with Assurance van lines when we had to move at our new apartment. I had a wonderful experience with the people that handled my move. Although there was a little pressure to hurry up and put the down payment on it but the movers were patient and always followed up. In fact the whole team was extremely professional. I have an item lost and they worked with me until it was resolved. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I saved $3200 by hiring assurance van lines. Their movers were great and my stuff made it to my new home in same condition it left.

Good movers, good price. The moving industry is filled with so many scammers, I came into this move with a hit-or-miss mentality. Thankfully, my move went well.

EXCELLENT moving company. These guys pulled off a really tough move from my 2 bedroom in Queens NY to Washington DC.

This was a last minute move as we closed on a home in DC we were waiting on and Realtor told us it would take 2-3 months to get it from the bank, but we were able to close in 5 weeks. Which meant we only really had 3 weeks left in the month to move in.

Again, thank you for getting all my stuff moved without any problems.

EXCELLENT job on my moving. I was a bit concerned my stuff would not make it from San Diego to NYC because of all the stuff I had read online. Aside from getting here one day late, there was nothing wrong with my move.

Assurance Van Lines did an excellent JOB!

I went with Assurance Van Lines because it the best rated company in Yellow Pages and the Better Business Bureau, I must have gone through about 6 other companies which didn't back it's reputation.

I moved from Georgia up to New Jersey and was quoted $1500 - $4300 for my 2 bedroom apartment move. Assurance Van Lines quoted me for $1900 and brought price down to 1790 after a bit of talking.

My move went great from A-Z. Movers were great. All my possessions came just the same way we had sent them, and heir Manager Greg was very attentive to my questions and always returned my calls.

I certainly recommend them.

I have used Assurance Van Lines many times and can say I have never had a major issue.

I know I could find cheaper prices but the Thought of being held hostage or my things disappearing is just not worth the risk as I am prior service Marine Corps and have a lot of irreplaceable items.

Rachel was the representative that has always helped me with my moves and she is so sweet and informative. She has spent counts hours with me making me feel comfortable time and time again.

Assurance has not disappointed me yet and i will absolutely be using them again, as well as recommend them to any one looking for reliable service with a company that cares.

They are a hardworking company that will have you smiling during your whole move. I called to ask for a quote I was helped almost immediately, provided with great affordable prices and lovely customer service. They sent over a great team. The foreman and his helpers were hardworking, experienced, friendly and very careful about everything. They made my move like a breeze. I had a stress free move, you will to if you hire Assurance van lines.

Mind Blowing! I guess they are the best mover in the country. I moved many times all through my life till now but never saw any mover who possesses all sorts of qualities together. They helped me move from NY to LA. When they handed over my valuables, my fifteen year old son scrutinized each and every item but failed to raise any point against Assurance van lines. I am completely happy.

From the salesman down to the great movers, everything was awesome. The crew was on time, very professional and friendly. They were careful, helpful and efficient and answered any questions I had. The delivery was also on time, I mean just like I made the agreement. They respected me and I received amazing customer service. The price was excellent, the same as the original quote. These lovely guys also packed some extra items for me which I had not originally included before. And they did not even charge me extra for that! Great company!

i went with assurance van lines for 3 reasons. 1. rachel did a great job going through my fairly large inventory with me and spent several hours on the phone making sure everything was perfect. 2. the price was great and didn't break my bank. 3. they are the preferred vendor with the military. i have been in the army for 16 years and have moved several times, i have never dealt with a company as professional as assurance. rachel and her team killed it and i would absolutely recommend them to any military family or civilian family.
