I traveled 100 miles to meet with Rick to sell my childhood collection of baseball cards. We had a great two hour visit, discussing baseball, Pirates, Yankees, sports, baseball cards, life, and our experiences. We then were able to reach what I considered a fair deal. I would refer anyone who is interested in selling baseball cards should go to Rick. I never felt pressured to sell my cards. Overall it was a great experience.

I had the unexpected pleasure of receiving a phone call from Rick who had received my # from a mutual contact. We had a terrific 1/2 hour conversation and set up a date for Rick to come to my house the next day. We had a fantastic 3 hour visit, and it seemed like we had known each other for a long time, just talking sports, baseball cards, life, and our experiences. We were able to reach a very fair deal to our mutual benefit for Rick to purchase some of my vintage baseball card sets. Anyone in the Chicago area who is interested in buying or selling sportscards should go first, and only, to Rick. I look forward to our continued contact and enjoyed the entire experience very much.

This dealer has to be one of the worst of all time. If you have a problem with a purchase you will be met with profanity and statements that question your manhood. I had a dealing with him through the mail initially. when my item did not arrive I contacted him by phone. he was rude and abusive. His customer service and relations is poor and that is putting it mildly. I can't believe this guy is still in business.

Contacted Rick via his website last week and was able to meet with him the same day to have my items valued and purchased. Rick (gizmo) has an impressive showroom and vast knowledge of the sports/toy industry. I was offered fair value for what I brought to him. Never once did I feel pressured to sell or feel that I was being treated unfairly.I don't have any more items for sale, but if I did, I would go back to gizmo's. Will definitely refer others to Rick should I come across anyone selling memorabilia. Scott from Genoa

When he says 'We buy it all' He's not kidding. We have dealt with Rick on 2 occasions now and have not been disappointed at all. The first time, we met him at his place of business we sold him a few things and he showed us around his showroom where he has LOTS of vintage cards, autographed balls, game jerseys, toys, you name it. Most definitely worth a drive to Davis Junction. The second time, he came out to our storage shed and filled his truck till it was almost about to burst with all the stuff he bought from us. Rick is very friendly, really knows what he is talking about and fair with pricing. We will DEFINITELY be calling him again.

It is obvious the person being reviewed can delete unfavorable reviews. I have had a bad experience with this dealer and avoid him like the plague. He is rude and verbally abusive. He threatens with bodily harm and/or lawsuits. Avoid at all costs. I expect this will be deleted shortly as have all other poor reviews.

I have been a customer of Rick's for several years. Love his personal service and availablity to my schedule. He knows his business and always treat me fairly. I love the no pressure atmosphere of buying in his shop. Rick does not worry about whether I am buying to sell or collect. He just works at maintaining a good honest relationship with his customers. He is the only card dealer I go to. 5 Stars All the way!

Rick drove nine hours to evaluate and buy my collection of baseball cards. He is a likable and knowledgeable dealer and spent several hours viewing the cards.
