Each day, KinderCare provides a balanced approach to learning - giving parents the comfort of knowing their child will have fun as she develops socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. It's about giving children the tools to become confident, fun-loving, and self aware. In addition to the role academics play in that development, we believe there are many other things involved. Every day our teachers give each child endless opportunities to grow, learn, and imagine. Social and emotional growth: Whether building a spaceship to blast off to Mars, or inviting a new friend to share a story at circle time, there are plenty of activities designed to help children excel socially and emotionally in our centers. Academics: Our goal is to prepare children for their school years through age-appropriate lesson plans including phonics, reading, math, science and more - all the while making learning fun. Caring, passionate teachers: For our teachers, this is an opportunity to share their passion for life while they inspire, engage, and awaken the wonder inside each and every child. Physical activity, healthy nutrition: Children will get all the exercise they need while having fun in a safe and comfortable environment. Plus, a certified nutritionist plans all meals and snacks. Peace of mind: Through daily communication, regular informal check-ins, and formal parent-teacher conferences, we give parents the confidence to focus on their own needs while away from their child.

Great Education

The centers are great. The infant room is very clean and sanitized. I have never had a problem with any of the infant teachers or directors. I also have never lost clothes at the center. Not sure what center the other lady went to but the one I go to is very good.

I wonder just how valid the review is from the person who claims to be a "teacher".

Nursery

I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. My daughter has been her since April/May and pulled out for summer since I'm a teacher and put back in middle of August. They have two old ladies in the nursery who don't pay attention to what they are doing. I come home with other kids clothes, dirty diapers are put in my daughters bag, I don't get sweaters, socks, etc that I send home with her. They do not fullfill my wishes when I ask them to do something. I have talked to the direction who is very nice but things with that lady do not change. She gets very frazzled easily and is always in to much of a hurry.

Well Worth The Money

The facility on San Felipe in San Jose is an excellent place. My grandson has been there since he was 4 months old. All the kids are divided by age. They disinfect the toys every day and switch out with different toys every day. My daughter feels better fixing his bottles, this way they can concentrate on caring for her son. I wish there was a place like this when my kids were young.

Worst preschool EVER!

My son was here 1 week (Escondido, CA location) before I pulled him out. I went to pick him up and saw much older kids playing on the playground with him (he's 3 they were in the 9-11 age range). One of the older children (looked around 10 years old) tried to shove my son off of a toy as he said, "Get the H*** off this you little brat". The teacher was standing not even 6 feet away from them and said NOTHING! I looked at the kid (who by the way didn't see me come in), "You do not talk to or play with little kids like that. He's little and you could hurt him." I know the teacher heard me because she looked up only to smile at me. I was irate and took my son out of there as fast as possible. He loves school and he says, "I don't wanna go to the bell school I wanna go to the new school with nice kids." He came home the first day with scratches and bite marks on his hands and said kids bit him but the teacher made no reports to me and I passed it off until I saw that the teachers don't even care or pay attention. My sister has issues with one in Denver, CO with the teachers yelling at her step-daughter and other children. There might be a few good ones but overall after I told everyone I knew my story I have heard nothing but bad stories from people all over the U.S. about Kindercare.

Fantastic

Again, must be location... Have had my 2 1/2 year old son with the Pebble location in Henderson, NV, for several months now, and it's been a great experience. Their pricing is "high", insofar as all daycare here is outrageous, but is actually very much in line with what else I could find and less expensive than many. The staff has been great, my son actually looks forward to going most days. If you don't like doing "all the work" - i.e., sending bottles, info, blankets, etc - you shouldn't be using daycare, LOL. The 2 places I've foind that handle EVERYTHING cost more than 30% mmore, and several places wanted me to send breakfast and lunch as well (KinderKare provides meals). The daily activiy reports are good, and my son is learning from here just like he did from his LeapFrog LapTop (same company) - 3 years old and begining to read, taught himself the ABC's just after 2 on that thing. Fantastic company.

No supervision

I had just pulled in to inquire about the place and perhaps enroll my child. The first thing I could see was the kids playing outside (ages approx. 3-7). They were riding bikes and some were on the playground. I looked around the yard and did NOT see an adult supervising the kids. There were at least 10 kids out there with no adult watching them. There was one girl who looked about 16 maybe, wearing headphones and listening to music. I would rather quit my job and stay home than put my child in a place that lets the kids run around or play outside and not care about them.

I love them

The previous review doesn't state which location she is referring to, but my 4 year old son has been going to the Kindercare in Corvallis for 2 years now and he just loves it there. He has learned a ton, even taking a Spanish class. We are moving to Bend and I wish they had a location there so we could transfer. I will be sad to leave. I love the staff and they have been amazing with my son.

not worth the money/ nursery

I am a single mother and I have had my daughter in the nursery section for a while now, they have a curriculum but they do not do it, my daughter has had a conditioner blow ice cold air on her until I told them to change it, although the employees have been there awhile they refuse to do what I ask of them they are stuck in their ways, they do not clean the facility well enough and they expect you to premake bottles and tape their info on it everynight, and they charge more than everyone else, I am currently looking for BETTER daycare, botton line is they want more money than other places to have yourself ignored and do more work, completly over rated
