Neerings Home Service

Nick came to our home to inspect our A/C and heater; he also fixed an exhaust fan in our downstairs bathroom. He did a great job. He went the extra mile by ordering a part for the fan, saving us quite a bit of money.

Great Service

A rep Neering's Bountiful location came and serviced our toilet. The rep took the time to explain the options and gave me valuable information on caring for our toilets. The rep also arrived on time and finished in a timely manner. I will use Neering's again for my plumbing needs. Thanks!

Tyson Dipo

For some reason I was unable to get Yahoo to let me write the review.Tyson Dipo was on time and did an excellent job. He was courteous and answers all my questions. The work was finish in timely bases. The only issue I have was we, Mountain Regional Water Personnel, Tyson and I agreed to have the water shut off be on the outside port of the meter and the shutoff on the input side of the meter be frozen. My concern after thinking about it, now, is if the meter needs to be replaced Mountain Regional will have to shut down the total block area. Tyson did say that one may be able to use a screw diver to close the input shut off. Bradley A Hornsby5115 E Meadows DrivePark City, Utah 84098H - 435-649-3528C – 435-513-1771bhornsby@aros.net

They will Lie and quote you one price then raise there price $500 to take advantage of you

They screwed me on the worst day of my life in an emergency **DO Not USE I was Overcharged $1064 when they quoted me $564 over the telephone and Whipple Plumbing said they could run a snake down my sewer for $69 for the same job. I called Neerings Plumbing & Heating on Sunday 4/14/13 in desperate need of help to unclog a sewer pipe drain that was flooding my basement. My father talked to Neerings plumber Mike S. over the telephone and described our exact problem and Mike quoted my Father George $564 over the telephone to snake a sewer drain. Mike S. however is not a man of his word as we found out because he took my credit card information and had me sign a false contract agreement chraging us exactally $1064 which was exactally $500 above the quoted price he gave us over the telephone to snake a sewer drain. He totally took advatage of the setuation and charged an extra $500 for himself very dishonest business practice. I have called Whiple Plumbing and Heating and they quoted me exactally $69 to snake 100 Feet of sewer line I didn't know the originall $564 was a rip off at the time because it was an emergency and I did not have time to price shop their estimate so reluctantally we went with them and had them come out immediatally only to be false cheated out of an extra $500 dollars. I would be fine paying the original quoted amount of $564 to snake the sewer drain even though that was still to high I am still willing to accept the originall agreement I am very unpleased with being lied to and decieved though.

Total Scam!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

My basement flooded caused from blockage in the sewer line. Needless to say, not fun. Neerings came out the next day to "clear the line" and to send a camera through the pipe to see the cause. Not only did they charge me $584 for clearing the line and the camera, but then they told me my sewer line collapsed in the middle of the road. Their quote to fix it...a whopping $23,224!!! Ya right!

When Neering's plumbers left, I called another plumbing company who told me if there truly was a break in the road, it would cost $6500. He also told me to get a second opinion by Electric Rooter. They came that afternoon, charged me only $345 to clean and camera my line. Comes to find out, my "clean out" wasn't cleared at all and super backed up. Electric Rooter cleared the clean out and continued to run the camera through the remainder of the sewer line out into the street. MY SEWER LINE WAS COMPLETELY FINE!!!! There was absolutely, NO reason to repair the sewer line.

Neerings flat out lied and wanted to charge $23,224 for an unnecessary fix!

Overpriced. They find ways to...

Overpriced. They find ways to charge you more. I had them clean out my main sewer line. Technician said he had to remove the toilet to get to the main line. Also had to charge me extra to remove the toilet. Had another company look at my house, after Neerings had already fixed it. They said he should have used the clean out in the basement. He didn't have to remove the toilet. What should have cost $400, Neerings charged me $1000. They are a ripoff.

Extremely overpriced. They too...

Extremely overpriced. They took advantage of me not knowing what the actual price of a hot water heater is and pressured me into thinking that I would be sorry if I did not use them. Due to my lack of knowledge I over paid by $1000. Or in other words they charged me $500 an hour for their 2 hour job. I was charged $1750 for a $550 water heater to replace a 7 year old unit on the ground floor in an easy spot to work in. Do not use these guys. I went to their offices and they told me that if price is an issue than they are not the company to use and that they do not claim to be competitave with other options. This was a simple job that I should have done myself and am now making payments. I feel like such a sucker.

installation and service

All of the Neering Staff are very knowledgeable regarding heating and air-conditioning. We recently purchased a furnace. They were great regarding helping us with the selection, installation and service. In addition, they service our air-conditioner, humidifier on furnace, etc. The entire Staff is exceptional and I would highly recommend them.

No Place to hide

A number of years ago I worked for Neerings for about 2 weeks as this was how long it took me to figure out I did not want to work for a company as corrupt as this one....if you study the Google listings you will see a clear cut case of manipulation of the ratings review center just look a the dates you can see all the reports are with in a several day window which demonstrates this companies willingness to deceive all that dare to use there services the truth of the matter is that at one time Neerings was a business of ethics but as the years have went on Troy Neerings has taken the company for those who founded it and made into the theft machine it is now today the truth of the matter is that most of it's 35 plus employees do not have a clue on how to do their jobs and so they must inflate prices to account for the ineptitude of the group as a whole this is one company that should not be in business and mark my words in this troubled economy it will not be long until all catches up w

Water Heater Estimate

Just to confirm what others have said, I called to get an estimate for replacing 2 40-gallon water heaters. I was quoted $3000 for the entire job. I already have 5 other estimates, the highest of which (for same service and equal quality units) is $1425. These guys are either out of touch with the going rates or content to price gouge anyone who doesn't do their homework.

Homeowner

Called for an estimate, appointment made. No one showed up nor had the courtesy to call explaining why the no-sho.

Absolute Rip Off

I used Neerings plumbing this week to fix a broken furnace. They charged me nearly $800 to do a 2-hour fix that didn't really involve any parts over $15. So basically the guy was earning $400 / hr. Their techs are commissioned based so they have an incentive to jack up prices so they can make more themselves. Please get a quote from them just to waste their time and then go with someone more honest!

PAY THREE TIMES THE GOING RATE WITH THESE GUYS

My wife called these guys when our water heater went out and I was out of town. When I returned, I was floored by the price. I priced out the exact repair with other plumbers and it turns out I paid three times what the others would have charged. Thinking it must have been a mistake, I called and complained to a manager at Neerings. He said we were charged correctly according to "the book". Run away from these guys!! You are bound to do better with ANYONE ELSE!!

07/13/2009

His Dad Can Overcharge That

They may do the job correctly, but boy will it cost you. I used to work for a rooter service in town. One of the small guys who charges $80 bucks to rooter out a sewer line. My next door neighbor calls these jerks who charge $890 buck for rootering out one sewer line! No repairs, just a simple one hour job. All these cute adds and refrigerator magnets glued to the front of phone books come with a heavy price tag. Stay clear or you too can feel the pinch of mass advertising costs.

Honest Work

I've been working with Neerings for over 4 months now and every time I've been impressed by them. They're honest with every job they do and I couldn't say anything bad about them. When it comes to pricing I can justify every penny I've spent. I would recommend them to anyone.

WANT TO PAY TO MUCH CHOOSE THESE GUYS

So I wanted a high efficiency furnace, 6 other companies all quoted me $3,900 to $4,600 for their top of the line lennox 95 efficiency, Rheem, York, Carrier etc... Neerings quotes me $6,900 for the same Lennox I'd just gotten a quote for $4,500 two hours earlier. That's when I started getting that uneasy feeling. But then comes the part that infuriated me. I also want to finish my basement so I asked them to price out the cost of running 8 to 9 lines and a cold air return. The other six companies I got quotes from quoted me $100 to $175 per run which is reasonable. The Neehrings representative never quoted me a price per run instead he pointed to his price book for $17,000 dollars. I almost jumped out of my seat and punched him. I asked "so are you qouting me as if you are going to replace all the duct work in the entire house, because that's not necessary in my opinion." he said no this is just for the basement. Neehring will never get me or my friends/families business.

Good job

I have to caveat this review with the fact that they were running a $99 special to run my drain. The ran the drain from the downstairs bathroom (it has a nice access to the main pipe) out to the street (~50 feet, though the first time they sent out 100 ft of cable). Then ran a camera to show me what the pipe looks like. They were quick, on time, informative, and a great value. If they keep having specials like that, I would keep using them without hesitation.

02/27/2009

Over Priced

They are extremely over-priced. They fixed a pipe that was leaking and told us it would be $700.00. We had them fix that, but they also offered to put a pressure gauge on for $700.00. We found out we paid way too much. They were there less than an hour. We won't call again.

02/24/2009

Started out alright...

It was my first time having to call somebody to work on my furnace. I went by the reviews who had been helped by Neerings. When I called them, they seemed nice and were out to my house when they said they would be. They did the job and our furnace worked so even though it seemed like alot more than we had expected, we were somewhat satisfied. Come to find out, we probable paid three times more than most people pay to have the exact job done. Ok, i expect them to make some money and don't really mind paying for the prompt service but this was outrageous and seemed dishonest. When I called to talk to a manager, HE informed me that the seventy five dollar diag fee does not get applied toward the repairs like other places. I had been aware of that. Still, even without that, the repair was still way overpriced after I had called to see how much an ignitor was. The manager could not even return my calls after I had talked to him. Very disappointing. I guess I live and learn.
