Provided by YPmobileWhat a scam! Called to get my 02 Chevy Cavalier quoted, the head gadgets need replaced so it doesn't run. Other than that the car is fine. No body damage nothing. They offered me 80$. The car is worth at least 250$ in scrap metal! What a joke. Would never recommend them to anyone.

Provided by YPmobileThey are ripping people off. They said the scrap value of my Expedition was $160.00 I laughed. An Expedition is 2 1/2 to 3 tons. That is super low for one ton. Plus they said they give more for running vehicles with clear titles.

Provided by YPmobileThey were very unprofessional. The person on the phone started to talk about arm wrestling with a coworker then disconnected me.

Provided by YP.comThis place is a joke. What a waste of time dealing with them. The website said the title is not required in most cases to sell it to them. So I went to DMV to get a duplicate title for $8.20. Normally not a big deal, but this outfit would not even talk to me without it. Then they only offered $75. This car is worth much more than that. The parts alone would fetch $1000s! What a SHAM!

Provided by YP.comFirst rep I spoke to was polite enough though I was asked 3 times if I had my cars' title...lol! She transferred me to a "specialist" who offered me a quote that was HALF of what I had already been quoted by two other companies in the area. When I politely declined she said, "Good luck with those offers because they won't pay for the title transfer" and hung up on me. Keeping it classy!

Provided by YPmobileMy overall expirience with rustys was cool. They came when they said they would. The thing i would say is that when it came time to sighning the title to the car. The tow driver didnt know who the buyer was. And the lady or the phone act like she didnt know what i was talkn about when i called trying to get info. But other than that rustys was cool they gave me a fair price for my junk car.

Provided by YPmobileVery happy with Rusty' s. Everyone we dealt with was polite, courteous and efficient. We had never used a business like this before so we were unsure of what to expect. But we were very satisfied with all aspects of Rusty' s.

Provided by YPmobileThey were total jerks. Talked down to me just because I'm a woman. They were making fun of my name in the background. How rude can one company be.I will never go through them.glad I hung up on them.I'm going through someone else

Provided by YP.comJust total jerks on the phone. They sound like miserable human beings. Had to give my information to 3 different representatives, each equally miserable and slow to ask me for my information. The first 2 conversations went like this:
Rep: Rusty's
Me: I'd like to get a quote for my car.
...15 second pause...
Rep: What's your make information
Me: -gives year, make and model
Rep: Hold on.
I repeated this with another representative.
And then a third representative. The 3rd actually got a little further in asking me if the title was under my name. I said it was. She told me they don't accept those types of cars. I said, why/ I'm confused. She said they don't accept cars with their titles. I told her I just don't understand, a car's in my name and they don't take that. She said, in a very angry voice, I asked you if the title had been signed over. I told her that's definitely not what she'd asked me, the title is in my name, and her attitude was just crazy. She told me she couldn't help me.
I hope they get paid in commissions. Miserable hag.

Provided by YPmobileI contacted several companies about selling my old car, and Rusty's was a complete joke. The first guy i talked to was actually pleasant when verifying all of my information, but when he transferred me to a "pricing specialist" (thats hilarious), this guy was a total goon. I verified all of my information again with him and his response was "uhhhh well basically I can give you 50 dollars for your car". Seriously dude? $50?? Ive aleady gotten 4 quotes from 4 other companies that offered me at least $250. I politely declined his generous offer, and without a word, he just hung up on me.
So "basically", this company is full of low-balling con-artists. Don't waste your time.

Provided by YPmobileVery rude, not helpful at all. When I called the lady didn't even give her name said that the offer was 125 without even asking much about the car and then hung up just because I wasn't sure who's name was on the title. They can keep their money. With service like that calling isn't even worth it.

Provided by YP.comI live in the Detroit area, called these guys yesterday. They were polite, quoted me $250 on the phone for an old Taurus that no longer runs. Made an appointment for today, they called first, arrived on-time, picked up the car, gave me cash and a receipt for the car. 15 minutes and done, no hassles. The car was just as I described: not-running, parked in a driveway, no flat tires, had clear title and keys. No surprises, so they didn't haggle or give me any grief. If it was buried up to the axles in mud with a tree growing out of the hood things might have been different. It looks like these jobs are subcontracted out to local scrapyards, so probably every experience is different. Mine was good. The old Taurus will probably be coming back as a new Hyundai next year.

Provided by YP.comI was cheated today by a person named kyle. I talked to them over the phone before they sent kyle, and we negotiated a price of $250.00 for my '97 ford Taurus, but when kyle got there he said that there was a towing fee and tried to only give me $200.00. I negotiated with him for $240.00, but I feel violated because the original verbal agreement was broken by kyle.
