Our home was re-sided by Minnesota Exteriors recently (Sept. 2013) the house looks great, and we were impressed with the work ethic of the crew doing the work. They were extremely hard-working and the finished product was fantastic. The staff and salesman (Bob) were excellent to work with. They answered any questions we had, provided some great recommendations about the siding and were right on, with the cost estimate. We definitely would recommend them for siding applications, the combination of vinyl siding with the LP Smart side siding was a great combination!!

I recently had MEI Minnesota Exteriors Inc replace and install replacement windows to my residence. I was referred to this company by a friend who had his windows replaced and was very satisfied with the outcome. The contractors that installed the windows were very friendly and very knowledgeable. MEI sells quality products, has knowledgeable reps that can explain different options and their craftsmanship is outstanding. I would recommend working with this company again for future home improvement projects.

We're very happy with the this company all the way around. We got estimates a couple differnt times through out the past several years and were just never happy with the sales person. John came out really just to give us an estimate on soffit and facia, after talking to him and a bit of a sales pitch we decided to do sidding, soffit and facia. Wevery happy we made the decision it looks awsome. I would be wrong not to throw a plug in for the guys that installed all the material also. they were awsome too. Great job by all. I'll use them again NO DOUBT....

I recently had my roof replaced using Minnesota Exteriors Inc. Everything from the initial consultation to working with the office staff ran very smoothly. They were a great company to work with and I loved the finished result of my roof! Many of my neighbors have commented on how great it looks! I would highly recommend them!

AWFUL! 1st, I am guessing most of the good reviews are on this because they were paying people $25 per good review they gave them for awhile. We had windows done about a year and a half ago with Minnesota Exteriors. Smooth process. We moved and wanted to upgrade. First, the order was delayed over 2 weeks. They came to install the windows and had no screens. How does this happen?!?! THEN they forgot to order trim for one of our windows. Again..HOW!?!?! It took them over 2 weeks to get the screens and the trim to our house and get it installed. They only removed $100 for the bill.



I paid them promptly after they finally fixed everything. It has now been over a month and they did not close the permit, and today I got another bill requesting payment. My check has been long cashed and processed (Over 5 weeks ago)



There was a serious miss in our case. I would not consider this company if I were you.

Definitely worth a call here if you need roofing or siding. MEI did a great job with our home after hail damage last spring. Bob had an amazing eye for the best color for our roof and siding. Still love it even now!

Minnesota Exterior did a really good job on my project (sidings, soffit and fascia). The pricing was really reasonable and rather competitive compared to any other estimate I received. The installers performed the job in a really professional manner and gave no hassle during the project. They were willing to entertain any of my requests and addressed it without any questions. The installers and the service crew went above and beyond than what was agreed upon. They cleaned up really well after the job and did a really good job. I’d recommend Minnesota Exterior to anyone else out there and would consider them as my first option for future projects.

We had 11 windows and a 8ft patio door put in and they did a AWESOME job, they started at 7am and were done at 3pm. The salesman and the crew that did the work were friendly and did a great job I would have them do work in the future.

During the summer of 2012, Minnesota Exteriors provided and installed new vinyl windows for all windows in our home with replacement interior custom stained wood trim, exterior aluminum soffit , facia and gutters and also replaced some of the existing siding with accent shakes. The various teams that worked on the different aspects of the project were hard workers, friendly and were skilled at their jobs. MEI sales and office personnel communicated throughout the entire project via phone and email, answered all questions, responded to requests timely and worked to keep an organized schedule. Any issues that would arise were followed through on and corrected. We are very pleased with the final outcome of the entire project.

We had our leaky roof repaired and shingles replaced/upgraded in Fall 2012 after talking with them at the state fair. MEI was prompt in scheduling a meeting to discuss our project, provide shingle samples, and answer any questions. They were forthcoming with two incentives the company was offering – which were great! MEI was competitively priced and within what our insurance company was willing to reimburse. We are very happy with our new roof and would recommend MEI.

Member Comments: I bid this job out for over a year and called all the big players in the area and also some smaller companies. My house is about 20 square of siding and the estimates were all over the place. The top estimate was over $50k with a lot of bids coming back in the 40s. I think some companies throw out huge numbers just to see how dumb/rich you are. So when the sales guy, Dan, came out I was already jaded by the whole process. I told him what I was looking for and that I had a number in my head what I thought it should cost. He didn't try any hard sell tactics and out of everyone I talked to he seemed the most interested in getting the job and working with me to get to a reasonable price. I will say he definitely earned his money on this job. We went back and forth for about a year and he ran through many different scenarios to keep the price on budget. It probably bordered on ridiculous how many quotes he sent me but through the whole time he remained professional and didn't seem bothered by all the hoops he was going through to get the job. He even asked me to get other bids and reviewed them with me pointing out things he thought the other guys missed, showing how their low price was too good to be true. I eventually signed up with MEI and once all the materials were ready I stayed home and watched the whole job to make sure it was all done right. The guys were quick and efficient and the finished project looks great. I've gotten a lot of compliments and even an offer to buy the house! I'm satisfied and will call them again for future projects. One area of improvement could have been the communication about the status of the project and the speed in wrapping up all the finishing touches. The job was basically done in a week but there were small things that needed to be finished that got dragged out. Some of that was my fault because I'm away quite a bit for work but I think the project management could have been a bit more thorough. I was expecting the project manager to come out and see the job or at least call me to discuss but it was me calling customer service asking about the status of the final details and when they were going to schedule the inspection! It wasn't a huge deal for me since I'm a details person and prefer to be in control anyways. Cindy in customer service did a great job following up on everything and making sure I was taken care of. We had 6 different window companies come give us estimates and MEI was the cheapest by far. Plus the Lindsay windows they used were perfect for our house. They aren't the top of the line, but they are more than adequate for our neighborhood. Doug the sales guy was great to work with. Overall I would definitely recommend MEI to anyone looking for quality windows at a great price!

We are extremely pleased with MEI for the work they did on our house: ‘evening gray’ steel siding, ‘snowmist’ fascia and soffit trim, and patio door. The workers were courteous and hard working. Our opinion on various things was sought as they did the work. When the city inspector was here, he said “this is the best job I’ve seen in a long time.” We love the color and are very impressed with MEI. Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking at residing their house.

These guys did a great job. The price was right for the large roofing project I gave them, and the quote was accurate. Best of all, they cleaned up the mess when they were done. This was done in early October, and the place was in Minnetonka.

We used MEI for our siding and windows in 2010 and because of the excellent service and workmanship we called them for our deck this summer. Things are done in a timely manner, workmanship is great and Ryan with sales was super! If we have other needs, we will definitely use their services. C Hugunin

I have an older home, and over the years I have been faced with many home improvement projects including a new roof, a new furnace, a new driveway, a new bathroom, etc Needless to say my experience with contracts has been anything but pleasant. Despite my best efforts at choosing a contractor, I have had numerous problems including: unfriendly and even rude work crews, crews that did not show up when they promised sloppy workmanship, and even damage to my property.



I was therefore rather apprehensive when it came time to reside my house. After a careful selection process, I selected Minnesota Exteriors. They did a wonderful job! The crew was polite and friendly, they showed up when promised, they did good work, and the job was finished on time.



Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Minnesota Exteriors Inc. But don’ take my word for it, carefully check it out for yourself. I am sure you will come up with the same results.

We just recently used MEI for our roofing and siding. I was completly amazed with how quickly everything was done and how great it looked. The roof was done in a day and the siding was done quick as well. The installers were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure things were done to our satisfaction. I dealt with Barbara in customer service and she was amazing as well. She responded very quickly to any and all of my crazy emails! The whole process went smoothly and the workers went the extra mile to fix the damaged plywood under the old siding. I would highly recommend them for any home remodeling or repairs. Thanks MEI!
