Before having finally settled in Palm Beach Gardens with his family, Dr. Paul Fotek has been on a constant move. He spent his early childhood in Poland and France and later moved to Toronto, Canada. He attended undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto but obtained his dental degree in Poland, where his roots were. After graduation, Dr. Fotek practiced general dentistry for a few years but he decided to pursue a career as a specialist in periodontics.In 2007, Dr. Fotek received his Certificate in Periodontology and Master of Science degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During his residency at the University of Michigan, Dr. Fotek was a Clinical and Surgical Instructor and later was awarded a teaching fellowship as a periodontist, which he completed after his residency. While at the University of Michigan, he also practiced at the VA Ann Arbor Hospital.Dr. Fotek has always strived to surpass his educational credentials and requirements. While at Michigan, he was trained to perform Wilckodontics and completed the Misch International Implant Institute surgical training. He obtained his State of Michigan dental license, State of Florida dental and Conscious Sedation license. Dr. Fotek also passed a rigorous oral and written exam to be an American Board of Periodontology accredited periodontist, the highest attainable academic achievement a periodontist can have. He is also a published author on the periodontal-dental-implant interrelationship in several dental journals.
