NOT AN EXOTIC ANIMAL VET!!! 3 visits-3 different gliders w/Mr Murphy=3 too many! We had to euthanize that misdiagnosed animal with infected scent gland. Even after pointing it out to him along with a tail being missing.
Albeit I'm not the easiest person to get along with--especially when facing what I perceive as ego oriented interactions--I am conversational, engaging and mostly informed.
#1. His staff and visitors HAVE to endure a noisy bird in lobby. One staff female was extremely unpleasant.
#2 Common sense nocturnal animals need exam room lights dimmed!
#3 We waited 2 wks for a 10 min appt which was 25 min late.
#4. These animals are extremely sensitive to smells of others. Dirty towel mat was used. (vinegar washed only folks!)
#5. It seemed he was more interested in small talk & checking out my lady than discussing the animal. She also INSISTED I write up this review as well btw.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET FOR ANY EXOTIC ANIMALS OF THE SAME ORIGIN AS A SUGAR GLIDER.

My 14 year old dog Yukon was breathing hard and he couldn't walk. I took him to Dr. Murphy. Dr. Murphy prescribed extensive diagnostics including x-rays, ultrasound and complete bloodwork up. He found Yukon's problem and started him on an aggressive treatment plan. Within a few weeks he was back to normal. I couldn't believe how reasonable the cost for all the testing and treatment. I was surprised at Dr. Murphy's "open hospital policy" which allowed me to stay right with Yukon through it all. I owe Yukon's renewed quality of life to Dr. Murphy and his staff!!
