Provided by YP.comI was at Pittsburgh Dental Spa recently for seven root canals and crowns. I opted for the sedation with pills and nitrous because of how much work was needed. Let me say that this place was absolutely exceptional with my care. I was extremely nervous the day of my appointment but after taking the medication and getting to the office, the staff helped greatly in calming me down. Everyone there is so very nice! Regarding getting the actual treatment, I don't remember a thing! The sedation was so helpful that I didn't hear, feel or see a thing. I never thought getting so much dental work done could be so easy! In the days following my treatment, I was having a little bit of pain which is to be expected because of the amount of work I had done but the staff were so patient and helpful with me and not even a week later, I was back to my normal self! I have recommended this place to many of my family and friends and will keep recommending this place! Definitely the best place to go if you are even the slightest bit nervous about going to the dentist! Dr Runco and his staff are so extremely wonderful and I couldn't be happier with the experience they gave me!

Provided by YP.comI went to the Pittsburgh Dental Spa and it was exactly that...A spa...with a little dental thrown in...A water fall in the waiting room (with very little waiting), a comfortable massage dental chair and a tv on the ceiling with the channel of your choice. Not that I even had a chance to watch it, the staff was so pleasant the conversation kept me enthralled. No more cardboard x-rays, it is all computerized, the cleaning was gentle and the filling...Dr. Runco you are the best...Afterward, I even had a complementary parafin wax treatment on my hands...Where do you find that in a dental office. There is no dental office smell, very comfortable. I wish I had more work to be done so I could go back....But I did recomment my mom and dad...What a better recommendation can there be.....Congratulations Dr. Runco, Terri. Annie, Pam, Elaine, Janice, Roxie, and the rest of the staff on a job well done...:)

Provided by YP.comThis is the best dental experience I've ever had. You don't even feel like you're in a dentists office. The waterfall, exotic coffees and rustic paint colors make you feel like you're actually in a spa...and the staff are professional and pleasant to boot! Make Dr. Runco your next and last dentist.

Provided by YP.comI visited the Pittsburgh Dental Spa recently and Elaine was excellent. She set up a treatment plan that was financially affordable. Elaine called me after my procedure and was wonderful throughout the entire process. Pittsburgh Dental Spa is lucky to have such a nice employee.

Provided by YP.comIf you need dental work done - large or small - the best place to go is the Pgh Dental Spa. the atmosphere and decor is very relaxing and settling. The staff is friendly and very professional. The dental chairs are massage chairs and there are TVs on the ceiling so you can watch while your procedure is being done. Dr. Runco is the BEST with his knowledge and skills. His work is exceptional.I have recommended him to several of my friends and co-workers - many who are afraid of going to the dentist - and every one of them - without exception - LOVE the work that he has done.

Provided by YP.comI went to the Dental Spa yesterday to get some work done. First off the staff is AMAZING!!! They really care about you as an individual. Dr. Runko is TERRIFIC...I had a root canal done and didn't feel a thing. If your afraid of dentists this is the place for you! The work he did was incredible. The office itself is modern but comfortable it does not have the typical dentist feel when you walk in. I never write reviews but for this place I had too! Please....If you need any dental work done go here and you will be 100% satisfied!!

- Sedation Dentistry: If a gentle and compassionate touch is not enough for you, then consider sedation dentistry. I have been doing sedation dentistry for over 15 years with tremendous success. After performing well over 500 cases, I can't recall one single patient who was not satisfied with their sedation dental appointment. At Pittsburgh Dental Spa, I offer several types of sedation. The extremely anxious patient who wants to sleep through their procedure will benefit from I.V. sedation. With I.V. sedation the entire patient's work can be done in one visit. If the patient prefers sedation that is not so deep, then oral sedation will do the trick. The typical oral sedation protocol consists of three pills usually in combination with nitrous oxide sedation.
