We ran several scenarios past Benji and settled on one that not only got us the best interest rate, but also found a way to pay off the 15 year loan within 9 years without changing our budget. This was only possible because of the equity we have in our home and the amount we were paying on our two car loans that are more than half way through their terms. We ended up taking out enough cash to pay them off and can now pay that extra toward our new loan and pay it down quickly! This obviously would not work for everyone, but is a great example of how an experienced person can listen to your needs and find the right solution to meet them.
