The name “The Monk’s Cellar” itself is a nod to the brewing traditions of Belgium, a country known for its vibrant beer culture. From his trips to Europe, our founder Andy Klein was inspired to create a place in Placer County where people could meet in a casual, safe environment; where good food and great beer are just part of everyday life. Like the celebrated beer destinations of Belgium, The Monk’s Cellar is not a place where beer is dissected and endlessly analyzed, but enjoyed one sip at a time. At The Monk’s Cellar our goal is to create a culture where our beer is shared as easily as the conversations, ideas and aspirations of the community. To realize this you’ll not only see our team on your visits to the brewery, but at regional events where we donate our time, beer and resources to build a better, safer, cleaner place we all call home. The name “The Monk’s Cellar” itself is a nod to the brewing traditions of Belgium, a country known for its vibrant beer culture. Great drinks and fun cellar atmosphere. Food is always delicious. Creme Brule needs to be chilled more and more creamy and less custard. Burger is flavorful and the bar is stellar.

Good beer selection but is not vegetarian friendly. It would be nice if they added some options on their menus that didn't involve meat or animal fat.

Fabulous pub in downtown Roseville. The atmosphere and design is warm and cozy yet chic. Beer made onsite (you can see the machines in action!), signature cocktails and a great wine list. A "must" visit!

This place is located in downtown Roseville in between all of these cute shops. I really liked the atmosphere and felt it was a great place I could bring my family to. There were lots of family's with children here but there also was a nice bar and hangout area for adults too. I would defiantly come back enjoyed the beer and food!

We are here for an event tonight, this has a wonderful atmosphere! There are a few areas to be able to close off the curtains and have a private party and each room has a quaint theme, it was great. The drinks were wonderful, I had the amnesia drink and it was excellent! And the fries were to die for, I could have ate the fries alone for an entire meal, very well seasoned!

Great menu! And the beer is even better! Only had one bad experience there, waiter was extremely rude and condescending. But haven't seen him since. Love the fish and chips and duck fat fries.

After many visits I cannot stress how amazing the mussels are. All the food is great, but the mussels are amazing and the broth options are stellar. Pricing is very good as is the service. Glad restaurants like this are opening in old Roseville!

Love coming to monks for a drink or quick bite. Pretzel bites and fries are amazing. Beer, wine, full bar. Something for everyone.

We had a great brunch here! The menu is upscale pub fare and the offerings are great. Prices are really reasonable too.

Fun place. Good selection of tap beer as well as a full bar. But also a very good menu, not just bar food. Had their version of sheppards pie and wife had fish and chips. So good.

The beer is good but there isn't a huge selection. The atmosphere is fun and laid back. The food is nothing to write home about and the apps are ok.

Great local place to hang out, grab a bite, and catch up with friends. Co-owner Tom Rotelli makes every customer feel like a friend.

Very cool atmosphere! Feels like you're in midtown, without leaving Roseville. The staff there is great, and their fries are delicious!

Went here on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Their beer was surprisingly good. I had the burger and it was one of the juiciest I've ever had. Very good wine selection, too!
