The name “The Monk’s Cellar” itself is a nod to the brewing traditions of Belgium, a country known for its vibrant beer culture. From his trips to Europe, our founder Andy Klein was inspired to create a place in Placer County where people could meet in a casual, safe environment; where good food and great beer are just part of everyday life. Like the celebrated beer destinations of Belgium, The Monk’s Cellar is not a place where beer is dissected and endlessly analyzed, but enjoyed one sip at a time. At The Monk’s Cellar our goal is to create a culture where our beer is shared as easily as the conversations, ideas and aspirations of the community. To realize this you’ll not only see our team on your visits to the brewery, but at regional events where we donate our time, beer and resources to build a better, safer, cleaner place we all call home. The name “The Monk’s Cellar” itself is a nod to the brewing traditions of Belgium, a country known for its vibrant beer culture. Wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Even though it was winter, we sat on the patio with the space heaters and were very comfortable. Food was very fresh and the beer tasty. We even the popular duck fries.

Beautiful and relaxing place for a glass of wine and cheese and platter plate. Husband always orders a recommended beer from our server along with fish and chips.

This is our go-to place in downtown Roseville. Food is excellent-favorite is the fish and chips. We took a big group of family here recently and had a great experience. Check was surprisingly affordable for all we ordered. Locally-owned, they also do a lot to support and give back to the community so I'm always happy to spend my dollars here!

This place is so awesome! They not only have great beer, but they also have a full bar for your non-beer drinking friends. The food and service are great as well.

After reading an article about the Monk Cellar burgers, I just had to try one for myself. The Monk Burger is FANTASTIC!!!! What makes their burgers is the fresh ground beef they prepare on site. So juicy and moist, it melts in your mouth. In fact, I ordered a second one to take home and have for lunch the next day. Will be heading back for another one very soon!

Great, comfortable feeling for a brewery. Cider was delicious as it was light and good flavor. I had the meat and cheese platter as a meal and it was perfect. The pickled onions on the platter were an interesting and surprisingly yummy touch. The only issue was we had a big group. The server got all of our names, told us not to move so she could get the orders on separate bills. When the checks came, most everyone had an issue. Overall, my group had a fantastic time.
