Our room was simple, clean and spacious. Very close to downtown Salem. Exactly what we were looking for. We enjoy Salem in September as to avoid the crowds that start in October. We look forward to staying again next September!

i come here to New England several times a year. These folks go out of their way to make sure my visit is pleasant. The rooms are always clean. i highly recommend this place for a visit to a wonderful historic town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Clipper Ship Inn - I had a suite and it was so clean - even the carpets - I was totally impressed - it smelled wonderful and the staff were so friendly and helpful - it is really close to virtually everything and even had a keurig coffee maker in my room with a supply of coffee and tea and all earth friendly toiletries - it certainly made my stay in Salem truly enjoyable - and very reasonable rate - was actually rather surprised as my suite was very spacious and homey

After some long day's of travel from Minnesota, the staff at the Clipper Ship Inn were very friendly and helpful. After calling around to a few other Hotels/Motels in the area it was apparent that the Clipper Ship Inn was the place to go. The staff was very helpful in answering all our questions and gave us excellent directions to their place. The rooms were very spacious & CLEAN! A very neat and tidy organization I have to say. The only negative I would have is... with the rooms being so spaceous it made the t.v. a bit small.

My family and i visit Salem every year and we always stay here. This was the first year i stayed with just a friend and i found it was very easy to walk to downtown Salem. Its about a 15-20 minute walk but for a Brooklyn girl that was nothing. This hotel was defiantly worth the price. The staff is very nice, the rooms are huge and clean. And there are cats in the check in office. I would recommend this, and i will be coming back here.

My friends from Iowa and I had a great time in Salem, MA. The staff at Clipper Ship Inn were professional, friendly, and very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Parking was free. The Inn was close to everything. Thank you, Clipper Ship Inn. We will return.

My friend and I stayed there for a week in May. Had NO bad experience. The room was clean, large and very pretty. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. I would have no problem telling friends to stay there.

This is my top choice for stays in the North Shore. I feel the location along with the value of the Inn make this my go to place. My daughter and I stayed here this past spring and we found the staff very friendly and accommodating.

I've worked on a Continental Airlines for 6 years & come to Salem twice a year & always enjoy my stay at the Clippership Inn & always recommened my coworkers to staying at the Clippership because of the great location & customer service. You could walk into town but after the long day of sight seeing, I recommend taking a cab back. The rooms are great & the staff are always friendly & helpful.

Recently visited Salem attractions. The Clipper Ship Inn was recommended by the visitor center. Was not disappointed at all. Rooms exceeded expectations. I ended up staying for a week. Plan on returning in the summer.

It's an older motel, but it is very clean. The staff are very nice and helpful, and went out of their way to pay attention to each person checking-in. There was also a kurig coffee maker in the room with different types of coffee. The only thing I would have changed would have been an extra pillow.

I usually am traveling around the states. I did not usually to this kind of reviews but this time I feel encourage to do it because I had a chance to meet so kind people and professional; specially Ms. Yvette one of the front desk clerk, they make me feel home everything was extremely clean and organize, employee were so polite. In short I invite you to go and stay at the Clipper Ship Inn you going to have a wonderful time I guaranty you.

I came down for a Bruins game and found this place for the night. The service at the front desk was very helpful & seemed interested in making sure we had a great time. I'll be back in the future

The location is 15 minutes from downtown Salem. The management and staff are wonderful, helpful, and always trying to create a stress free and friendly environment. The rooms are large, warm, and clean. One of the best motels I have ever stayed at. The price is competitive and well worth it. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely motel off the beaten track. Room was huge and clean as a whistle. Lovely shaded front lawn with picnic tables where I enjoyed my morning coffee--a peaceful way to start the day. Took cabs everywhere and avoided the downtown gridlock, $20 parking fee and the need to drive around looking for a parking spot. Great innkeepers and their recommendations for dining and sightseeing were perfect.

This is the second time I have been to the Clipper Ship Inn. I enjoy the people and Salem the cat. I find they are always helpful when you information. They even gave us great ideas for dinner. The rooms are clean and they do clean it everyday. I would go back next year for sure!!!
