Provided by YP.com"always good" I've been there 5 times now for their lunch buffet. It's all you can for around $12. The place has a nice peaceful ambience, great service and great food. The food is just perfect, not too spicy not too bland. They have a beautiful interiors and you would enjoy it. Also the selection of dishes on the buffet are too good... it consists of appetizers, salads, chutneys, veg and non- veg curries and desserts.... great deal.. Whenever we feel like having Indian food while in downtown or nearby area, Royal India is the only preferred option. must visit..........

Provided by YP.comThis is some of the best Indian food you will find in San Diego. Dinner here is very expensive. But if you're like me and you are willing to shell out on excellent food, this place if for you. The food is incredible. Don't fill up on the delicious papadum and sauce before you even order. The curries are delicious and the specials are always unique. Try this place. You'll be here a lot.

Provided by YP.comI have eaten Indian food at many different restaurants and Royal India has by far the most authentic Indian food. The meats are tender and the curries are very flavorful. I wish I lived in San Diego because in Chicago we do not have good Indian restaurants. Royal India is on the top of the list for the best Indian restaurants in the USA.

Provided by YP.comI was visiting San Deigo from Virginia and had dinner at this resturant on the xMas day. There were a few things that we liked and a lot of things that we hated about your resturant.
- Ambiance was very nice
- They did not have child seat available. There was only one seat that they had and that was occupied.
- It was too pricy
- Food taste was okay, like any other indian resturant. Nothing Great
- Quantities were just too less. I would have thought that atleast for the price the quantities would be atleast enough to fill one person with decent appetite.
In all I will recommend to not to go to this resturant
Hope you guys get better...
This customer came to our restaurant on a very busy night and the child seats were taken and we could not give it to him and he got upset and after returning to his home town he sent us an e mail and complained about few things and we as a courtsey sent him a check for $50 back and he said he was happy with the service and also wrote positive things after receiving $50.

Provided by YP.comMe and the missus went there last night and have to say enjoyed ourselves ever so much. After discreetly proposing to my now fianc, one of the waiter's informed Sam Kambo and Jag Kambo and they came out to congratulate us. That pretty much set the tone of the evening. We were recommended the Shrimp Butter Tarka, which was just delicious, the tarka dahl was subtle and not overpowering (which in some places it can be). We also had some Saag Paneer and mixed veg, which sometimes can be overcooked in restaurants - not here: they were fresh, tender and sublime.
If last night was anything to go by this place certainly deserves all the awards and accolades it receives. The service was beyond compare, and the food delicious. I would definitely recommend this place

Provided by YP.comHaving a daughter in our family was a dream for my husband and on her birthday my husband wanted the best venue for her birthday party specially when it comes to our precious daughter. We would say it would have been impossible without the support of Sam Kambo and Jag Kambo owners of Royal India, they told us to let them know what is needed and just relax and come to the party as guests and they would take care of everything. There were about 100 of us and it was a DJ party with appetizers Samosa, Tandoori Chicken, vegetable pakoras and main course Chicken tikka masala, punjabi saag, Karahi chicken and Lamb curry with Nan and garlic nan and two desserts fantastic gulab jamun and rus malai. Everything was delivered as expected the guested just could not stop eating and stop praising the food. DJ did a woundeful job making everyone move we are so happy and thankful to the whole Royal India team who made our daughter's 1st birthday memorable. We will be back
