I had a great experience, they got the tire I needed the same day. They were the only business in the capital region able to do so. Great service.

i've had dave as my mechanic for over 35 years and bought 3 used cars from him. his honesty and ability is unmatchable in my book. hes amazing at solving electrical problems quickly and efficiently to boot!

I recently moved to this area from Colorado and I chose Ankers because of all the great reviews I read online. I was so relieved to see how true they were. I asked for an estimate for my 1995 Jeep passing state inspections ( in Colorado you only need emissions to pass, so I was a little worried). I was so happy and relived when I was told straight up what needed to be done in order to pass. Not like places I have been before where they do everything they can to empty your pockets. Not only did they fix what I asked them to, but they even gave us a list of things we could fix on our own instead of just giving us estimates for how much it would cost for them to do them. We will definitely be going to Ankers for all our car service needs!

Took my money and didn't even fix my car right! Treated me with poor customer service. I live three blocks from this place and would rather take my car to Tony's Auto Svce on Broadway than deal with these punks! You WILL be sorry if you take your car there!!

Front struts replacement

I had my 2002 honda civic's front strut leaking. I took it to Dave and he replaced my struts and also fixed other problems in my car. His service was exceptional. Dave's true and honest service is not to be missed by anyone. My car functions very well for long time after he fixed. Dave's very considerate and he also takes care of the problems in a more personal way. I appreciate and am delighted to have Dave to take care of my car. Thanks Dave. I would recommend anyone to see Dave for any problems in the car.

This is a truly an honest and trustworthy business. Having grown up with my own personal mechanics in the family, I never had the need to trust anyone else with my car. But now I am an adult and daddy can't come to the rescue anymore.



My husband and I have a 98 Jeep Cherokee that was presenting one of those fabulous mystery problems (would simply die while driving). Dave was not only quick to diagnose the problem but was extremely understanding when we wanted to fully understand the issue. Being that we aren't terribly mechanically minded, Dave allowed me to have my brother call him from Syracuse to hear the diagnosis so we could feel better about the situation.



Sure as he said we needed a new computer - all fixed!



We couldn't have asked for better, kinder service.

Dave is very customer oriented and very knowledgeable mechanic.



I can't say how many times David saved me money by fixing things the other " Rip-off Auto Shops" said needed to be replaced and wanted me to pay them for new Parts.

The exhaust system on my car was making a loud noise. One of the major auto repair companies estimated $1200 for a repair, including replacement of the catalytic converter. I've gone to Anker's for about 20 years, so I brought it to Dave instead - he found that all that was required was a bracket that needed welding and he fixed the problem in about 15 minutes, for only $30! I have found his diagnostic skills to be excellent over the years, and sometimes he can save you real money!

I find it so hard these days to find anyone who does a good job just to do a good job. My parents have been loyal customers of Dave Anker for years and I drove all the way from East Greenbush to have him work on our car. It's worth it to me rather than go to a dealership where they try to take you for all you're worth. If you are looking for someone who is affordable and reliable go to Ankers!

I have taken my cars to Dave Ankers since 1977. He is competent and smart and always looks for positive and cost effective solutions. When there has ever been a problem with a repair he takes care of it quickly and at his expense--and those times have been few and far between. Dave Anker's Auto Service is the best I have ever found. They are honest and will only do work that is needed. The cost of the work is also very reasonable. You can trust them and know that you are gettig the best service around. I would not trust my car and repairs to anyone else!

Ankers has done a good job maintaining my cars for the past 10 years. Except in one case (a defective speedometer in the instrument cluster that I eventually repaired myself), they have found the trouble, repaired it on time and almost always for less than I expect. Any items related to safety have been taken seriously, which I really appreciate. When I first moved to the area, they quickly won my loyalty and haven't done anything in 10 years to make me want to switch mechanics.
