Awesome service from Diamond Garage Doors!



My story: the garage door was working, but was super noisy. I checked it out and determined that the sagging chains were rubbing against the top of the door. I tried to tighten the chain up myself, but it did not work out.



I called another company (Tacoma Garage Doors). The technician came over and quoted ~$550 to do maintenance and replace the rollers (which were according to him really, really bad). I ended up paying him $45 for the service call and refused to pay this outrageous price.



I found Jon from Diamond Garage Doors on craigslist that day, and he came over the same evening. He charged FIVE TIMES LESS to fix the chain and do the maintenance. If you did not get it from the first time, let me try again: $110 v. $550. He also showed to me how to do basic maintenance myself. And, yes, needless to say, the rollers did not need to be replaced as the other technician said. But even if they were, Jon would charge one third of the other guys’ quote.

Jon is an awesome guy,very professional, very knowledgeable,provides great service and great price. He gave me a free estimate on my broken garage door opener system but i went ahead with a regular cheaper handyman. The handyman did a bad job and spoilt my new opener from Lowes and did not complete the installation properly too. I called Jon back and he promptly returned my call,came back the very same day and took down the spoilt opener and installed a new one right away.He was here till 11pm and left after he had completed his job.His work was very clean,very organized and gave me a good price.I should have gone with him in the very first place. It would have saved me money,and all the effort. I got my opener,springs and rollers replaced through him. He made sure the whole system was perfectly working fine and advised me on how to maintain the whole thing on a regular basis in detail.

I am so pleased with Jon. He is a professional that delivers quality service, including the ever elusive customer service. Jon installed a new garage door opener and replaced the wheels on the garage door. He took the time to adjust a few other components, did a very neat job, and more importantly, didn't nickel and dime or try to charge lots more. I called two other vendors for estimates on broken spring in the garage door. Jon gave a very reasonable quote and was prompt. The job took a little longer than he expected but he didn't complain or want more money. He was willing to help with a malfunctioning keypad (not part of the job). I am very happy with the result.

It's afternoon and your garage door springs break...of course everyone you call can't get to you until the next day but John went out of his way to accommodate me the same day. I've maintained many garages over the years and dealt with all kinds of contractors. I gave John every opportunity to over-charge me from my same-day service request, failure to get a quote prior to visit, and worse, the sight of stranded 4-wheel "diamonds" waiting to get out!



His final price was lower than I expected based on my past experiences, recent quotes and the above mentioned faux pas. His service was professional and quick and I eagerly added a 20% bonus to the job as a more than satisfied customer. John will get all of my work from here on out but more importantly he's someone I would feel safe sending to my mother or sister's house on a job without me running interference...PRICELESS!

I just purchased my first home and really didn’t know what was wrong with my garage doors other then the fact they didn’t open and close as they did when I had an inspection. I emailed Jon on a Wednesday (1/26) and to my surprise he responded right away and was available that weekend (1/29). I like many others don’t take the time to write a review but because I was so impressed with his excellent service and professionalism I highly recommend his service! I thought I was just getting a free estimate but to my luck he had everything I needed to get the doors repaired…just new springs and maintenance repair and it was working again. Jon knows his work well. One of the springs of my garage door broke and it didn't take too long for him to fix it. I had him come out again after few days due to some minor secondary issue. Jon was extremely responsive to my call for service since I could not operate my garage door at all. He was prompt, very courteous and was great at explaining the options for the repair. Jon had all the items he needed with him which made the repair go quickly and when I asked about additional openers he suggested a simple mounted remote panel. What a great idea and the cost was the same as just one of the openers. He also check the rest of the door and let me know about some future maintenance that I should do.
