After several years of frustration, I finally found a doctor who was able to diagnose a very rare form of illness in our beloved fury family member. We were so thrilled about the specific care and knowledge (at a very reasonable price) that we have started taking our exotics to PETCARE as well. I whole heartedly trust each of my pets with Dr Matheson and Dr Emch and would recommend PETCARE animal hospital to all my family memebers and friends

I highly recommend the services provided by Dr. Matheson and the entire staff at Petcare Animal Hospital. I trust and believe whole heartedly in the medical care provided to my pets by each member of this hospital. I first met Dr. Matheson in 2007 when he was working at the Pet ER. My maltese, Angel, came down with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) and was knocking on death's door when we arrived. I truly believe that if it had not been for the outstanding care provided by Dr. Matheson my pet would have left this world long ago. More importantly at that time was the spectacular "bed-side" manner portrayed by Dr. Matheson. He always, on each visit, took the time to meet with me to discuss my pet's health (good and bad) and to answer any questions or concerns that I had. When he chose to leave PetER and start his own business I followed. Dr. Matheson's outstanding veterinary experience (critical care and emergency medicine), his surgical background and stong insight into the diseases that afflict our furry family members is unlike any other Veterinarian I've met. I am proud to say that he is my "Vet" and I've come to rely on the care provided by the other member of his staff through the years. So, if you care about your pets health, like I do mine, give the folks at PetER a chance!

they are idiots that have no business being in business they charged me money to give me advice they wouldnt evn run any tests until he saw my animal for at least 2 visits so he could rack up my bill

I love this Dr. He cares and has compassion and is very knowledgeable. His prices are fair and reasonable and he keeps his word.I highly recommend him for taking care of you kitties.

We have a new Goldendoodle puppy and weren't happy with the first vet wetook him to. Dr Matheson and his staff are AMAZING. They made us feel so comfortable. I truly feel my dog is getting the best care possible in the valley

This place is awesome!. The doc has knowledge of all animals and how to treat them. The nurses and receptionist are very friendly and accomodating for you and your pets. Doc treats everything from snakes to ducks ,mice,lizards,turtles,cats,dogs and more. He's very thorough and genuinely loves what he's doing. My ducks,chickens,and Persian kitten all love him. The staff makes sure you understand everything going on with your pet and the aftercare that's involved. Prices are way reasonable!!! You need these people.

If you love your pet you need to them to Pet Care. The level of expertise and professionalism is second to none. And they treat the animals like they are their own. My dog had to stay a couple nights and I was an absolute wreck but seeing how much they love animals too and they care they take makes the process easier. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. You can't put a price tag on the care you receive from the staff.

A friend of mine recommended Dr. Matheson to me after 4 different vets could not diagnose my collie and everyone just kept throwing the same medication at him. Dr. M was the first doctor to give us a diagnosis and greatly improved his quality of life for the short time we had him. I always knew that he and his staff cared for that little dog and it made his care and passing a bit easier to deal with. Both Dr. Matheson and Dr. Emch are very knowledgeable and their entire staff is amazing. They have come down after hours for emergencies, repaired a broken hock, and have always been willing to answer any questions that I have had. I love that they call to check up on the pets after an appointment or to remind me that a medication needs to be refilled. I have never hesitated to take my pets there and would recommend them to everyone.

The tech seemed unsure and confused. She tried to talk me into a flu shot for my dog - I asked several questions about this new flu shot and her answers to me turned out to be incorrect. She gave a pamphlet on the topic which answered each question I asked correctly and opposite what she was trying to "sell" me on. The Dr. came in and gave the standard exam. I asked about whether my dog needed a dental - he looked at his teeth and said "yah". Then walked out without another word...I looked at the tech and asked "so, I assume everything looks ok?" She said "I'm sure it's fine or he would have said something." Really!! So then I asked about what a dental would cost since he didn't bother to address that any further...she came back 5 min later with a ridiculous estimate. I tried to ask a couple questions to clarify and got "I think so", or "I'm not sure." A clueless technician and a Doctor that could blatently care less.

The people who work here really care about your pets. The establishment is very clean and smells good. They work to accomadate your needs, and were able to fit me in within five minutes of my call. I have a snake and the nursing staff didn't flip out or anything. I am definitely making them my primary veteranarian provider!!

I took my dog in for an eye check and was charged extra for a bunch of things you would assume are included in the price of the office visit. Charges were added without informing me there would be an extra charge or asking for my consent. I ended up paying over $300 and left without any answers. The prices are outrageously high! The vet spent most of the appointment trying to upsell me on products rather than help with the original reason I brought my pet in. I left feeling ripped off and taken advantage of! Won't return!‎

I was unhappy with my dogs current Veterinarian and took them into see Dr. Matheson. What an amazing practice and staff. Dr. Matheson has the patients of a Saint. He took the time to answer all of my questions and by performed several biopsies on my dog to rule out cancer. The previous vet didn't do any test and just said she needed surgery? Thank you for all of your help. We really love coming to see you and all of the staff.

I called about my dog getting a potential ACL surgery with them and the receptionist was very nice. I scheduled an appointment the same day and within the next couple of days my dog will have surgery. My dogs normal vet was so booked they couldn't get her in for over 3 weeks. Prompt service and great people.
