My 25 year old son went to this station and tried to buy a lighter. He was carded by a female who was laughing with her 'friends' and stopped laughing to card him for the purchase of just 1 lighter? When he produced his License and she refused it because the bottom of the license was a bit worn. (It is a 7 year old license). UNBELIEVABLE. He drove down the street and purchased at the Sunoco with no ID request.

During a crises, a community is supposed to come together to help one another. You chose to profit off of this. . . Disgraceful. The people you towed DID come to help out their community by fostering animals at the SPCA that was flooded. Towing their cars to gain profit is horrendous.

Anyone know his other stations? I think there is 3 in total, we need to boycott them all! This owner might as well pack up and move n out of SC as he will never make a living now.

Statewide tragedy and you show how selfish you are!!! Shame on you! People went out of their way to help animals who couldn't help themselves. I'm disgusted by you!

I'm going to influence everyone to boycott your location. Shut it down. This place is an embarrassment to summerville. The worst kind of people own this place.

You should be ashamed. You are a horrible business and trust me I would never go see you if I were on empty, I would rather push my car five miles then visit your gas station. You should truly reevaluate yourself or see the mental hospital real quick. I hope you close down. Interfering with a rescue mission of animals in a flood and towing the peoples cars away that are helping out. You are animals, rabid ones at that.

This was horrible that a business would have people cars towed when they are just trying to help. This town comes together in when we are in need but quess they do care. Heartless

When I arrived to assist the evacuation at the Summerville SPCA around 1pm yesterday, I was one of the last people parked outside this gas station on the road. Nobody was blocking their entryway and their parking lot was not overfilled with vehicles. I was actually surprised how empty they were and that more people didn't park there. I walked across the street to the SPCA to assist and about 10 minutes after waiting at their door it was announced Shell had started towing and we needed to go move vehicles. I am disgusted. I don't understand that when your state/city/county has been declared in a state of emergency that you go as low as towing individuals IN YOUR COMMUNITY, helping YOUR COMMUNITY, YOUR OWN NEIGHBORS! This business should be ashamed of themselves. And even promoting jacking up prices!!! Listen, it was flooding severely... Your gas station was not going to have such an influx of patrons that your business would be impacted. If people were blocking your entrances or pumps... That's one thing, but to be downright hateful... Unrespectable.

This place of business knew these vehicles were parked on the side picking up animals during a flooding situation to help save their lives and still had them towed. How much lower can a business go?!? Poor excuse for a human.

Only giving it one star because I do not think zero is an option. We are all part of a community. Thanking them for demonstrating they have no desire to provide service within the community.

The person who decided to tow people's cars that were trying to help the SPCA during a state of emergency should be fired. I will never use this station again. I wish I had the name of the tow truck company that agreed to help them, I wouldn't use them either! Some people are so heartless, it's not always about money

Heartless business. Hope they get shutdown. In a time of emergency we were all looking out for each other except this business. Towing people who were volunteering a place for animals with no place to go is absolutely heartless!

This Shell Gas Station is not nice at all. We here in SC take care of our own. When people are taking care of others you don't harm them. Having autos towed is wrong. Then allowing Coastal Carolina Towing to over charge the volunteers is even worst. This Shell Staotion has a lot to answer for. Make changes or Make a move, Like out of SC...

This business made life miserable for good-hearted people coming out during the worst flooding in Charleston's history to rescue animals from flooded kennels. How heartless to have everyone's cars towed! I honestly hope this gas station never needs any help in the future because no one will be there.
