a very good experience seeing very well

Cataract surgery. My case was unusual in that I'm very nearsighted but did not want a distance correction as I use my enhanced closeup vision a lot in my art making. This was an unusual request and Dr. Murphy questioned me carefully to make sure I understood what I was asking for. Once she felt secure in my request she met my request. I'm very happy with the outcome. It's better than I expected.

She solicits input and listens carefully. Dr Murphy relates well with the patient. Suggestions are made pleasantly with further explanation as needed. Appointments are made so that there is very little wait time.

Dr Murphy was knowledgable with the macular hole issue that preceded the cataract formation- in fact she was the one who diagnosed the hole and recommended the retina specialist who did that surgery. Dr. Murphy's follow up through that ordeal and the subsequent cataract removal was consistently well explained, thorough, and expeditious despite the COVID restrictions in place at the time. I would recommend her to anyone needing an opthalmologist.
