Great experience

I was referred to Michael Moses for our Ford Flex purchase, and dealing with him was an absolute pleasure. Michael is one of the last few professionals in the car business. No sales gimmicks, no bait and switch tactics, just plain old fashioned customer service. I will be giving Michael and Galpin all of my future business.

This is my 5th car I have got from Michael Moses over the last 10 years. I had the opportunity of working this deal with him and his son Josh who is just as awesome as his father! I wouldn't buy my cars from anyone other than them! They aren't just great salesman they are great people as well! Someone you could call a friend! So thank you Michael and Josh!!

Consistently delivers

This is my 4th car I am getting, and the 3rd with Michael Moses, who has recently recruited his son Josh to help at the dealership. I always get the best price without having to haggle on the exact car I want!

Raising the bar of bad customer service.

In late 2011, I purchased a 2005 Aston Martin DB9 that had only 40,000 miles and only one previous owner. Before I purchased it, I took it Galpin Ford to get a test on the car to make sure there were no issues and everything was in excellent condition. The test came out perfect and they highly recommend I buy the car.

Since I purchased the car I have had it serviced regularly and on time to make sure everything continued to stay in top condition. I have been extremely loyal to Galpin and never took the car elsewhere. Every year I spent about $5,000 for services and maintenance expenses that they required of me. For the last 3 years, the engine to my knowledge has been in perfect condition.

In December of 2013, I paid about $4,500 to take care of some issues with the car … another maintenance check. The manager then told me that the car would be set for at least a year.

In April 2014 I noticed the car making a ticking noise. I spent $200 on a diagnostic for the car and was told that there was a cylinder misfire, which would cost about $4,500. I told them I was not happy about this (especially considering the statement made the previous December 2013). I felt this was a lot of money that could have been prevented had they done a better check in December.

On my way home, the ticking noise got louder and the car was riding extremely rough. When I had it towed to Galpin the mechanic confirmed that the engine was BLOWN AND DESTROYED. When they contacted Aston Martin to help with this matter 2 weeks later, I was truly insulted when Galpin said the engine would cost $35,000 and they are only willing to give me a $700 credit. In talking further to one of the managers they said they would do their best by waiving an extra $500 for total $1200. Again I feel that this is an insult. Here we are months later and I am tired of getting the runaround every time I try to get an answer.

I only drove the car 12,000 miles and it makes no sense for it to have a little over 50,000 miles total (with constant service and attention) to break down. The car clearly did not meet expectations or its standard lifespan considering how much I paid for both the car and maintaining it.

In Conclusion, they promised that they would work with me. In total I have been working on this for 2 months and Galpin Ford has just been wasting my time and energy.

As for Aston Martin, unfortunately they haven’t responded to my emails so far. Needless to say I am a very disappointed customer and I highly recommend that you never work with these 2 companies.

Honesty...

Took my Volvo for service last wk, unknown to me, I forgot that a small purse of mine with a very nice watch was in the car. Because my car was having a complete service the mechanics working on my car needed to go through the entire car. When I picked up my car the following day, my small purse and my watch were waiting for me. I was delighted to see I made a good choice when I got that Volvo, but better yet, that I took my car to such a great car dealer!

I just had the most disappointing experience with Galpin Ford, accusing me for lying to their service person and charging me for diagnostics which I already knew the results of. I brought in my car and told them I had a problem with caliper 4 misfire and low compression on nr. 2. I asked how much it's going to cost me to find out what is causing this and what it's going to take to fix it. After 2 days, they call me and tell me that I have a problem with caliper 4 misfire and low compression on nr. 2 and that I never told them about this so they need to charge an additional $800 to do further diagnostics.

When I brought the car on Saturday, I very specifically said: "I will not pay you to tell me what I already know. Please tell me what the cause is and how to fix it". Service person Sam agreed. Firstly, they agreed that I told them this when I brought the car in. Later, they told me I never said this. Now, they are lying that I said this, but few days later, after the "inspection" has been done.

Now, their reasoning is "You should have read the small letters". Basically laughing in my face I got tricked.

Never will do business with them again. Horrible service.

Very disappointing for Ford and who Ford is doing business with..

Be careful of this place, they...

Be careful of this place, they are very sneaky. The have loaded all these options onto the car, but they don't tell you up front, and it wasn't listed on the sticker. I wanted a simple basic Mazda 2 Sport Edition, no extras because I was on a budget. We drove the car, liked it and decided to purchase. When we sat down, they informed us the car also had Bluetooth and Lojack installed, and it was an extra $1,090 over MSRP. But, they'd give us a "discount" of $500. Right. So I have to pay an additional $590 for items I don't want? Plus most people finance, so that $590 will turn into who knows what after 5 years of interest. I tried to work with them, but could only get them to $15,650. The MSRP was $15,530! Maybe not a big difference, but the problem is they are not honest about what they are doing, and they are taking advantage of people, You are tired after looking at tons of cars, and finally found the one you want - so what is another $600? Well, it is probably pure profit in their pocket, is what it is! And you ended up with Lojack on an economical starter car! Just what you need!

Good technical service , high cost.

Very professional tech service, but very pricey. I paid more than I expected and more than the original quote.

SIMPLY THE BEST

Recently, I bought a truck from Galpin Ford. I was helped by Phil Englander who was introduced to my family by Mr. Marshall at Galpin. Before my purchase, I owned a little car that I bought from Galpin. About me first, I have a wife and two sons-one being disabled. My disabled son moved in with us two years ago, a year after buying the little car. I was upside down in the car and due to surgeries for my son's legs, I had bad credit from missing payments and so on. I needed a truck for my family, not because I wanted it.

Before we met with Phil, we went to two other dealerships. Why? I'm not sure now but the first said, "Sure, you can buy a truck, $20K down and $800 a month for 72 months" I can't do that. The second promised much much more. They said no down, low payments and at 60 months. I said I'm not coming in unless this is real because my family isn't sitting at a dealership all night. They promised. We spent 8 hours on a Sunday night at the dealership. We were accepted and then turned down. I later found out that they never ran my credit. I called and asked the salesmanager why and he said "I wanted to make some money off you and you were too smart to let me".

My wife knew of Mr. Marshall. He happened to be where she was one day and she told him our issue and asked him what we should do. He said go to Phil Englander and you won't be disappointed. He was right.

Phil was kind and patient, especially after the hours we just spent being turned down. We were in the showroom for 45 minutes and left with a truck. Phil was the best. He listened and didn't try to cheat us, didn't try to sell us the truck but tried to meet our needs. He wasn't a fraud and did everything he said he would do.

I thought I'd walk out of the dealership with a stripped down truck, but instead, I bought a 2010 Ford F150 FX2 SuperCrew, paid $250 bucks less than I WANTED TO PAY, and was financed at an amazing rate.

Here's the best part of this. My son is disabled. In the little car, we couldn't fit the wheelchair in the trunk and he had to lay down in the back seat to go anywhere with me. It was terrible. In the new truck, my son pulls up to the door, opens it, climbs up on his own and sits there in the seat with a sense of pride and accomplishment that only this simple task could bring him. Thank you Mr. Marshall, thank you Phil Englander and especially THANK YOU GALPIN FORD!!!

An ending note, I do not work for or have worked for or want to work for Galpin in any way. I'm not being paid for my opinion but I will say that I've wanted a truck for 10 years, I needed a truck due to my son's issues and I have a truck because I believed and trusted in the fine folks at Galpin. THIS IS WHY they are America's number one Ford dealership!!
