Provided by YP.comUse ANY other service. They will offer you a low rate to start and then begin raising the price every 3 months. There service is horrible they do not even bother to pull the carts back onto your property they just leave them in the road and we have very narrow streets In Our neighborhood so it causes problems on trash day . Not to mention it makes it look trashy. They just do not care enough to provide a quality service.

We had service with them for 2 years. Service was terrible throughout. We recently cancelled and are now going through a local company that we love, and they are saying 3 months later that out bins were never picked up. HELLO YOU PICKED THEM UP. They are criminals and trying to rob people every way they can.

Provided by YP.comHorrible service. Requested a transfer of service to my new address. Was told that they do service my area, only to learn a week and a half later that they don't. So, waste has been piling up at the house, and I could have avoided further delay in service. Then, when speaking with one of their Agents, she states they tried to call me a couple of times, but my voicemail isn't set up, and was talking over me as if I did something wrong. Well, my voicemail is freaking set up, and that's beside the point. American Disposal should have been able to determine right away whether or not they service my new address--not a week and a half later!!! Just horrible! Now I have a pile up of trash that is beginning to smell and I have to wait another week for pick up from another provider. I am awaiting a call from the Service Manager. We'll see if this happens. I will escalate. Stop lying to consumers! Ridiculous.

Provided by YP.comThis is even worse customer service than ANY cable company ever thought about! When I reached out several times to get my trash picked up after they missed 1 of 2 or both cans - no results. Called everyday for 4 days and still no results - no apology, no trash pickup. DO NOT make the mistake of signing with these people. I escalated to a manager and still no results. I was paying for recycling service and their "waste management engineers" would throw it all in the regular trash truck. Asked, for new cans after the "engineers" ruined mine - told me to have the cans empty on the same day as pickup or they could not replace and they couldn't say when they would be emptied. They make TRASH pickup a miserable experience.

Provided by YP.comIt is actually a 0! Two weeks in a row after multiple calls last week and they picked up trash and left recycling to stand in the yard for days while we called and called. Now they have done the same thing this week. Criminal in my view. Garbage & Rubbish Removal Contractors? No, just garbage and rubbish. Worst service I have ever experienced. Will spread the word.

Provided by YP.comThey are the Comcast of trash service. The worst customer service I have ever seen. Do not do business with this company. If you can pick ANYONE else, do it. It's been nothing but trouble with them. They kept raising our rates, they would pick up at all sorts of time of day (and sometimes not at all, I had to call them multiple times because they missed our street and didn't pick up at all) THEN when we finally canceled the service, they had already taken the money out of our checking account for 3 more months. When we requested a refund for services we aren't getting, we were told it would take 6 to 8 business WEEKs to issue a refund! Are you kidding me?? They are super quick to take the money out, but they expect us to wait months for a refund on money that doesn't belong to them!?! Worst company ever. They need to be put out of business.

Provided by YP.comDoes not pickup as scheduled. When notified they missed my pickup they don't care, their response- wait for the next pickup. I will be changing service. This has happened for the last time.

Provided by YP.comThey don't pick up and then tell you they can't come until next week. Twice they have taken our recycling containers and disposed of them WITH the recycling. Time to switch.

Provided by YP.comI definitely would NOT recommend this company, I sold my house and called in to cancel service, months later I get another quarterly bill, I write/call to ask why when I canceled it back in June. I then get a new bill with the credit for the time after I sold the house but with a charge for the bin they abandoned back in June. Having moved to another state I have no idea what they did or did not do with ther bin ( it's 4 months later at this point.). I write pointing out that they have already refunded the quarter & it's their responsibility to pick up the bin when service is canceled and if they abandoned it. Now I get another bill with a random charge of $100, this is for an address they have not served in over 5 months. They blew it back in June when they didn't update their billing system and pick up the bin, now they are trying to bill me for their problems and tacking on fake charges not tied to the bin or any service.

Provided by YP.comWhen my very old and beat up trash bin started to break I called and they said they would pick it up and replace it with a new one in two weeks. They said it must be empty and the ONLY day they could pick it up would be the day before my trash gets picked up. So I stockpiled my trash so as to make sure the bin was empty to be picked up. I received 3 automated phone calls confirming that they would be picking up the bin on that specific day. I placed the bin out the night before and that next day came and went and my bin was still there. I called to ask them and they said that they knew they would not be coming out to get it but forgot to call. They said "Sorry" and nothing more. I asked if they could do anything for my inconvenience and they fell back to "it's policy" and said that all I get is a spoken "Sorry. I asked if they could drop off the replacement bin so I would not have to stockpile my trash for another week and they said "No, it is against out policy!" I wasn't even asking for money back, nothing but a little effort on their side. But this is the mentality of the people they have working at this horrible service. Even with the price increases they had I was fine with that. They could have given just a little (by dropping off a bin so I would not be without one for a second week) and I would have been a happy customer, but instead I'll never do business with them again. I believe most good ratings this coming gets would be from them.

Provided by YP.comI just fired this company! We have had service for almost a year, and in that year they have missed up at least 15 times! The last straw was being skipped again and then the broke the can and refused to replace it! Gave us a hard time about the no pick up. Told them to come pick up our cans, you are fired. The guy that picked up complained that there was stuff in them. Plus they were way overcharging - just called a competitor and they are charging us $30 less! So there American Disposal! I will let everyone I know how bad you are!

Provided by YP.comIn the three years I have been using American Disposal, they have increased their rates four times. Unfortunately, they are the only option I have for residential trash service in my area, otherwise I would switch in a second. Buying out your competitors and then offering ridiculous rates......Their customer service is also lacking.

Provided by YP.comI haven't had AD very long, but today, July 3rd 2015, I had to call them because they decided to "skip" picking up my recycling and only half way dumped my trash yesterday. When I called them this morning, I explained what happened, and the first CR told me she will make a note that containers have to be emptied. Well, yes, of course they have to be emptied, that's a no brainer. Then she told me she doesn't have anyone in the area to pick the skipped trash and recycling up. I asked to speak to a manager which I got a VM, left a message, then had to call back, and speak to another CR, who I then explained to them, "since they aren't servicing my trash and recycling for a week, maybe I should not pay them for that week" She then said, we will try to get someone out today, if not today, then Monday. I explained about writing a negative review, and she didn't seem to care. So, I'm here will a full recycling container and a half full trash container going into the 4th of July weekend. Good Job American Disposal, only have been a costumer for a month, and already being treated terribly.

Provided by YP.comWe will be canceling our service when it's time to pay again next month. This past year things have just gone down hill. They constantly miss our house even though they get our neighbors trash. it's a fight to get them to come back and pick up and try to blame it on you even though the trash was out. This time was the last straw. They didn't pick out trash up yesterday but did our neighbors. We called this morning and said they don't know why it was not picked up there were no notes in the system but that they can't pick up till next trash day. There are not going to be trucks in our area till next week. So, they screw up and I have to have trash pile up next to the house because they refuse to come pick up even though it was their fault. Their prices have went up too and the service has just gotten worse.

Provided by YPmobileIf I could have seen these reviews before I hired them I would not have chosen this company. I canceled my service fir only my recycling and then suddenly my can rhat was suppose to be picked up on Feb 11th was not picked up and now is missing in their system. I have insurance on my cans but the charged me $100.00 for it anyway. They are not willing to consider that they may have missed placed it or not recorded it properly. I can't get a supervisor on the phone because they are all supervisors so they claim. The worst customer service ever. One worker told me to go check my neighbors then hung up on me. If they were not the only company in my area now I would change.Avoid them at all cost!!! It will cost you more in the long run because they will figure out a way to get the money they lost out of you anyway.

Provided by YP.comBEWARE!!! Horrible company with no accountability. Our trash can was broken for several months where the truck connects to the can to dump the trash into the large truck. The trash can was taken on trash day, and we assumed they were FINALLY replacing the broken can because for months they were unable to remove all the trash by hand and the can was becoming disgusting. I was not surprised the can was broken, because the men would just toss the can back towards our driveway many times falling over or blocking my car. After several weeks of no replacement can I called. The lady told me they did not have any information the can was taken and asked if I had a description of who took the can, after several weeks I could not give her a description. She said it would take a while to get a new can which was disappointing but I would wait. After 3 weeks of no replacement can and no further communication from the company, I called back. Nothing had been done, we were not on the list to get a new can, I never received a call back and was basically told it was my responsibility and my fault and I needed to prove they took the can. The can was obliviously taken by American Disposal ON TRASH DAY. No one is going around neighborhoods on trash day stealing broken and nasty trash cans. He told me I could pay $100 to replace the trash can, and I should have been paying an extra $1 a month for insurance on THEIR trash can. He also told me to go around my neighborhood and look for serial numbers on trash cans to see if my can was mixed up with another neighbor. All of this is ridiculous. I had been a customer for 5-6 years and treated like I didn't matter. I also was told 5-6 years ago when I started the account they would pick up anything smaller than a love seat (why we chose that company in the first place) and laid out small amounts of carpet 2 times prior with no problem. I was informed by the guy that was no longer their policy and I could pay an additional $35 per room of carpet to have it removed. Reading a few other reviews, I see my previous trash company was sold to American Disposal and apparently they are no longer honoring that promise. I have yet to receive a call back or a resolution and considering this company is significantly more expensive than other trash services in the area (they raised their rates) I will be no longer a customer of American Disposal. Many of my neighbors have also switched from American disposal and I now can see why.

I have contacted this company's home office about the service that has been charged and what is provide to try work out any issues, My main issue is Carport pick up is just that they pick the trash can take them to the truck then throw them at the Carport. Blocking your car is in at times.

Provided by YP.comREALLY BAD. Like others we got involuntarily switched from Republic. American has missed 2 pickups out of 4 since we got switched. The American truck goes whipping by without even slowing down. When you call to ask them to come back American gives you a hard time.

Provided by YP.comUnbelievable how bad this company is! EVERY week you have to call them to tell them that they forgot to pick up either the trash or the recycling garbage I put out. It gets tiring to arrive home from work on the trash day and realize you have to call them again, only to hear them say the same crap over and over again. They may be one of the cheaper solutions but it is just not worth the trouble and effort!!!!!

Provided by YPmobileLet's start by saying they manage to completely miss my house every week. Now they have transferred my account with out even informing me that they did so when I call to cancel my services they give me some excuse as to why they can't.
