Professional, quick, easy to deal with, and flexible schedule. Great that I didn't have to miss work to open the door. He came after 6pm.

After years in this house we woke up Saturday morning to a mess. The sewage had backed up thru the basement drain and it had made a mess. Now what? I’m not a very trusting person having been burned too many times by contractors of all kinds, and I especially don’t trust plumbers (call me the world’s biggest Cynic). It took five of us 3 days, hundreds of on line searches and dozens of calls to friends and family to see who they recommended for the job. Two professional plumber friends said they don’t do this kind of job and don’t usually recommend plumbers because of the trust issue (they don’t want to lose a friend). I checked this site (yellowpages.com) and found Johnny Drains. Then I saw 43 reviews, 42 of which were 5 stars and one with 4 stars and said “Yeah right, not a single complaint!!!” Well after reading all these reviews there was a news cast on TV about companies and contractors paying people even from abroad to write good reviews (not on this site though). The newscaster said that the New York attorney General was investigating thousands of companies for this fraudulent practice, so I spent 3 days on the internet looking for good plumber and checking each one out. I even went to the Better Business Bureau site (they have nothing on Johnny Drains). Finally, I decided to take a chance and call Johnny Drains. He was prompt courteous and helpful, and figured out what the problem was in less than five minutes, he then dug out the house main cleanout which had been buried under some expanding foam topped with cement, probably to keep water from entering the basement. Then he spent the next 3 ½ hours cleaning the line of debris, grease, and mounds of roots from a tree the city planted in front of my house (Thanks a lot NYC). He power washed the entire length of the pipe, replaced the plugs on the main clean out so they would now seal properly and left instructions on how to use root killing material he suggested (and provided) I use and gave us other instructions on how to keep the pipes clean. Yeah I’m, giving him another five stars because there’s no higher rating, and I will also try posting a video to show this is NOT someone he paid for a review (is hard to post a video on this site); this man is the real thing. If you call anyone else you are wasting your time and your money. What a PRO! Thanks Johnny, you restore my faith in contractors!!!

I called him recently(on a whim) to fix my water pipes that burst in my house. It had burst in 5 different locations. Johnny did not leave until the job was done. Since then, I've called him another time to fix my boiler and to replace my hot water tank.

Johnny was professional, pleasant, and informative. He showed up promptly on a Sunday night to locate and fix a pipe that had burst from the cold. It was a difficult problem to find the exact location of the broken pipe, but he went about it with patience and skill. His price was fair. Would definitely hire him again for any plumbing problem.

We were fighting with a clogged sewer pipe for about 4 hours – nothing worked. I called Johnny at about 10PM, he came in just before 11PM, within 5 minutes he correctly diagnosed the issue. It took about 2 hours to fix, but I’m glad I called him to do the job. No BS no blah blah blah He knew exactly what to do and kept doing it until the problem was fixed. Very professional, highly knowledgeable, all in all great service for a great price.

Fast and Excellent Service! Reasonable price

On 02/19/12 I ran into a big problem, I tried to fix my brother toilet to no avail. Then, came Johnny to the rescue... not only was the price reasonable, he came at the time he stated and did an awesome job. He basically, bailed me out!!! Thanx Johnny!

I had an emergency plumbing situation at home on a Saturday afternoon. He showed up in less than 30 minutes, he was courteous, and he got the job done efficiently. In addition, he charged me just a bit less than my regular plumber who did similar work in a non-emergency situation. I will definitely consider him for future work.

Johnny is a great plumber! Had an emergency plumbing issue & He was here in less than the 30 minutes he told us it would take to get here. Once inside the job was done in less than 10 minutes & even gave us some helpful tips! On top of everything, He is a very friendly & nice guy! Would recommend him to anyone & wouldn't hesitate to use his services again if needed in the future! Prices are fair which is helpful to all of us in this economy!!! THANKS JOHNNY!
