My dog would constantly be scratching and itching at these small bumps and would cause them to bleed. I brought her to Animal Emergency and Referral Center and they took good care of my baby girl. They were able to tell me it is normal in her breed to get rashes on the skin from irritation and allergies. Thank you so much AERC.

My dog’s knee would slide out of place. She would cry and her poor leg would stick out straight. I took her the animal emergency and referral center. She seen Dr. Whitis who suggested some rehab and medication for my baby. Until I can save enough for her surgery. I just want to tell them thank you. For doing what you could to help my baby when I couldn’t offer much.

This is a sophisticated operation with educated people who invest themselves in the recovery and wellbeing of your pet. If not for AERC, my beloved border collie, Bandit, would have died from Lyme. He was misdiagnosed by several prestigious organizations offering MRI and staffing esteemed neurologists. They said he was having strokes. They were wrong. Nobody sought the evidence with rigor and precision as AERC did. No only did they do the research, when the results arrived, I got to see the MRI report and the blood work analysis myself. I wasn’t asked to take someone else’s word for it. In fact, the doctor spent the better part of an hour going over Bandit’s file with me. She made sure I understood that ticks had gone undetected and that Bandit had been suffering from tick born disease that impaired the vestibular area of his brain. It sounds complex, but if Dr. Wasserman were typing this review, it wouldn’t. The doctors are awesome. The support staff is, too. The team at AERC are life savers, quite literally.

Great Service

The doctors and staff at Animal Emergency and Referral center are amazing! My dog is very shy around new people, yet he absolutely fell in love with the staff here. He was attacked by another dog and these caring people were able to see him right away. They are on my speed dial for my little man. Thanks again guys.

This was about as good a vet appointment we could expect. The hospital was very good to me and the dog was treated like a queen. They were very patient with her as she gets very anxious at the vets office. Overall first class service. They are not cheap but you do get what you pay for here.

About 3 months ago, My French Bulldog tried to jump into my friends SUV and severely injured her back and cut herself on something in the process. She was unable to use her back legs, so we rushed her in to the emergency center. The Dr. gave us our options, and we decided to leave her there for treatments. After a few weeks, she was getting better, stronger, and more able to move. We brought her home, then took her back and forth to Dr. Lyman and Dr. Phillips for outpatient hyperbaric, laser, and water treadmill therapy treatments. We followed their rehab advice at home, and she continued to improve. 3 months later, she is doing so well and getting better every weeks. You would hardly know she had injured herself! Thank you to all of the staff at Animal Emergency and Referral Center!

I brought my puppy here at 4 AM because she was throwing up pennies (Pennies break down into zinc, which can kill a dog). She was immediately examined and done x-rays on. The vet and the vet tech were both extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The vet explained in great detail to me what the x-rays showed, and what to do going forward. I was very impressed. Though a bit expensive, I think it was well worth the price. Hopefully my dog will not have another emergency, but God forbid if she does, I will definitely bring her straight here.

I was so scared when my cat go...

I had to bring my dog in late sat night cause he had scratched his face so much! I couldn't wait until my vet opened on monday. So I saw the emergency doc that was on. She was so helpful and nice even tho my problem wasn't a real emergency. The techs working that night were really nice too. Thanks!

We had to take our cat Shasta for emergency treatment. Unfortunately she didn't make it but Dr. DeFazio (sp ??) was extremely informative, explaining all procedures and what the cost would be. She had to stay overnight to get fluids via IV and antibodics . He called me twice during the night and kept us updated. Said he would call before he went off duty at 8:30. We stopped by at that time and he was just about to call us to inform us she wasn't doing well. Said about the time we came in she really started breathing hard and wasn't going to make it so we put her to sleep so she wouldn't suffer. He said it was like she knew we were there and was letting go. I highly recommend this facility. Someone said it was expensive but if you are going to have pets you have to be prepared to take care of them.

The animal emergency and referral center in Fort Pierce is an amazing facility. It offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy for many health issues. The hospital also has an MRI and low radiation vimago ct unit that produces 3d cat scan images!!! Can't beat that. They also have an artermis NRT laser for wound healing therapy and many other treatments. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

I went to wash my dog outside and burned his back from hose water that had been sitting in the hose all day. My dog received hyperbaric oxygen therapy and laser treatment which helped his back heal very fast. Let your hoses run for a bit before you wash your dog!

It has been 11 and a half years since my Boston Terrier, Pringles choked on a greenie bone. Not a day goes by that I don't get teary eyed about the life saving surgery that Dr. Phillips did to keep her alive. I am forever grateful! My highest of recommendations go out to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet. This place is the best in the world. Dawn Slavin

Our beautiful 11 year old lady woke us up this morning, paralyzed in her right rear leg. All animal hospitals in our area have this phone number listed as the emergency number, so we had no choice which facility to use. I called them first and they suggested we bring her right in. From the first moment, we were treated with nothing but respect and compassion. I forget the doctor's name (please forgive me) but he was the most compassionate of all, in fact, it was harder for him to tell us that our pupster would never get better than it was for us. They were a ray of sunshine on one of our saddest days.

Completely discussed with their customer service.. Brought in sick cat. They left me sitting in room for over 2 1\2 hours! Zero common courtesy. Never even peeked in a said a word . my cat could of died waiting that long. Ended up having to walk out and get refund. The workers cannot even communicate with each other . asked if they could tell me how much longer after I waited 2 and half hours .. She said no. completely worste experience ever .
