This was one of the places where we stayed. We liked the location a lot and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We have stayed all along seawall drive and keep coming back to this place. Excellent beach cam. Close to everything. GREAT WALKING and good excercise to go for long walks past PLEASURE PIER and great barefoot beach walking. They have upgraded the rooms a bit. We love the people, they always help us enjoy our stay.

This is an older property, but renovated, very nicely appointed, and very reasonable for the seasonal and off season. Both the day and evening staff are very hospitable and willing to give sightseeing and any travel tips for your stay. The room appeared fresh and clean. The bathroom was immaculate and had nicer than expected modern fixtures, including shower and toilet. The best thing is that every room has a furnished private balcony or patio overlooking the beach. We travel for business regularly and found this property and staff surprisingly delightful. EXCELLENT VALUE.

We wanted a decent hotel to stay in just for the night, no special occasion. The hotel, though a bit older, was clean. The beds were awesome, reminded me of the higher priced hotels. The staff was also great in directing us to local seafood eateries, etc. Of special note, this hotel DOES provide long term parking for cruise guests, however they do not provide transportation to the pier. This hotel is literally across the street from the beach and the view if great.

Within walking distance to where we wanted to go. The desk clerk got us an upper room with a king even though we had a booking for 2 double beds. It was clean and well lit and a great view from the balcony. Friendly staff made our stay enjoyable!!

Wanted to stay at a hotel that was not part of a chain . It is an old hotel but well maintained. The staff was very helpful and the location was great.

Friendly service, great location. Yes, it's an older hotel but it's clean and we enjoyed feeding the birds on the balcony. They do have free cruise parking.

We have stayed here twice. The location is great for access to restaurants/bars and not have to drive. Free beach across the street also. The hotel and rooms are older but ok. No problem in early June.

This was the perfect place for me and my young son to spend a mini vacay. Clean, nice pool with lots of families hanging out, friendly service, great view with balcony, good location for walking to beach and seawall attractions. We loved it and cannot wait to go back next year.

Loved the location it was perfect. Decent pricing, free parking, free breakfast and evening snack.centrally located a quick walk across the street to the beach. Great stay.

Upon entering the hotel the man at the front desk was very nice and informative. The hotel was within walking distance from the beach and pleasure pier, also was walking distance of many delicious restaurants.

This is by far one of the best places to stay in Galveston. Staff was wonderful. Rooms very clean. Had reservations at another hotel when I got here and changed them as soon as I walked into the room. Made my reservations here and very glad I did.

Our 3 night stay at the Commodore was a wonderful experience. We had read lot of reviews and most were mixed had all that we needed there, cleaning people came by everyday to see if there was anything we needed and it was mostly towels there didn't seem to be enough, it was just we were always at the beach and sandy we did bring our own beach towels for the pool and beach, which dry nicely on the balcony. Loved the outdoor shower by the pool to wash sand off before going in the room. The pool was very nice and was allowed to hang out after hours had lots of people walking by asking about the place and for the price and location this hotel was great, If your use to a 5 star hotel its not for you but with the money you have saved staying here could be used on the towns entertainment.

We had a great experience here and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We will definitely stay here again.
