My husband is in the military and was stationed at Ft. Lewis. So Washington was only a temporary home for us and we saw it non-conducive to buy a home. So naturally our only other option was to rent. We loved the area of Olympia and decided this was where we wanted to buckle down. Hometown seemed to have a monopoly over the Olympia area so we didn't have much of a choice then to rent from them. I regret this decision more than any other I have made in my life!It came to my attention quickly that they were completely incompetent of running this business. Calls for maintenance work on something as important as a broken septic tank went completely unanswered. They always spoke to us with a rude undertone and acted as if we were always bothering them. I mean let's be honest, their job can be classified as customer service. As the customer I feel as if I was never served.This company tried to justify to entering our home while we were not able to be present for a general inspection. After

Staff, fail to respond to requests for information by owners of the property and they are constantly taking on maintenance charges without explination nor do they provide proof by contractors as to what has been actually done. They will not respond to phone calls or e-mail traffic. Kim and Daniel are the rude and unprofessional in dealing with owners of property. If they treat the owners this way, my heart goes out to the tenants and how they deal with them.

We are tenants of a house that they managing, and cannot get them to make the repairs that are needed to this house.######The repairs we want are fair and need to be done, example: we have dealt with sewage in our bathrooms and sinks (all of them!) -twice- they fixed that but we had to wait all weekend...yuck is not a strong enough word! We are in a nice neighborhood, but this company is pure ghetto, they do not return calls, Julie our property manager is unprofessional, condescending and rude, and gets ruder when asked for reasons why. Their excuse for their bad behavior is that you signed a lease so your stuck, but if we truly want to leave we could tomorrow, which would cost them much more money than if they made our small repairs. Silly isn't it? ######I believe in helping your fellow man, not starting a fight, and to respect everyone. It is unfortunate that Hometown Property Management doesn't feel the same way.
