Provided by YP.comI love Dr. Ron's Animal Hospital - I have been taking my dogs (4) to Dr. Ron's for years. I never have any issues and the staff are great. If you have an issue with this office - it is you.

Provided by YP.comI take both of our dogs to Dr Ron's. The office stall are very helpful and caring. Thee veterinarians are knowledgeable and have always provided the best possible care for our pets.
Our dogs are like family and everyone at Dr Ron's treats them that way.

Provided by YP.comMy kitten became serious ill in the evening and I called his office and was given the price of an emergency after-hours visit. When I arrived I was told I'd have to pay extra for my kitten to be seen right away. The vet had his back to me filling out paperwork not with another animal. I was crying and begging for help and he walked away. He didn't care, he only wanted more money then what I was quoted which was already expensive. I would have given him no stars but it wouldn't post that way. DON'T GO TO HIM

Provided by YP.comNeeded to have dog seen today because of blood in urine. Called and asked if they had time. Was told no problem, bring her in. When I showed up was told that there would be an extra $33 "convenience fee" above and beyond normal office visit because I had no prior appointment. Waiting room was empty so it wasn't like they were jammed or anything. . They wanted to call it an "emergency visit" when in actuality it wasn't. What a rip-off.

Provided by YP.comI recently had a horrible experience at Dr. Ron’s clinic. Without going into detail, the front desk staff was extremely rude, unprofessional, and not the least bit sensitive or caring. I will certainly never go there again, and encourage others to find a more professional veterinary service to take care of their pets needs.

Provided by YP.comI was totally NOT impressed with Dr. Ron Resnick. I had recently moved to Simi Valley and was looking for a vet. Since his practice is affiliated with Theresa's Pet Store, which I really like, I thought I would give it a try. He was very rude and arrogant from the moment he walked into the exam room. He did not even introduce himself, just grabbed my dog rather roughly to start examining him. I could tell he wanted to spend the least amount of time he had to explaining my dogs injury to me. He talked down to me. He clearly does not enjoy animals. There are a lot of really good vets out there. I would

Provided by YP.comI went here to get my dog's teeth cleaned. Lorraine accidentaly gave me another dog's medicine, which was the same one my dog was going to get, but there wasn't enough for the dosage that I needed. Before I noticed the mistake, she called me and offered to bring me the correct one for the mistake. I live in Reseda. She drove 35 minutes to bring me my dog's medicine. This is just an example of the great customer service that this place has. THANK YOU LORRAINE! I really appreciate your compassion.
I would reccommend this place to everyone. They have the best prices for teeth cleaning & don't make you get a blood test for your dogs to get a teeth cleaning.

Provided by YP.comFirst off, both my husband and I deal with the public in “heping professions” and know from experience that no matter how competent and professional one tries to be, there are always angry people looking to spread hostility-and those are the ones who complain the loudest. Secondly, we are both in the medical profession, and deal with emergencies on a regular basis. That said, when our newly adopted, 6 lb, scruffy, stray dog began seizing after eating snail poison we knew he was going to DIE if he did not get the best emergency attention immediately. It was 10pm, and our only option-we thought- was to go to a 24 hour animal hospital that we had prior experience with and were not impressed with. Our neighbor offered to call Dr Ron Resnick -of Dr Ron’s animal Hospital in Simi Valley. He was planning to open a 24 hour hospital in the near future, and so we agreed to impose on him at home, as he is also our regular vet. Upon hearing our dog’s symptoms he simply said “ meet me at the hospital now” and with in 5 minutes he was there, in tennis clothes -unlocking the office, turning on lights and single-handedly beginning full resuscitation efforts on our beloved pet. My husband, children and I witnessed a true expert at work- This Dr knew his business and carried it out right in front of us! ( Many Doctors will NEVER let themselves be watched under stressful situations- and with myself and my children sobbing, I give him extra points for staying cool!!) My husband and I both have decades of experience working with emergency room doctors, and know a good one when we see one!
Due to Dr Ron’s expert emergency care our little guy did survive...and is a healthy thriving member of our family today!
I have read the negative reviews of Dr Ron’s animal hospital and I will only suggest that a pet owner “consider the source” of the reviews- Does the writer seem like a disgruntled person who has problems paying bills? Or somebody who gets annoyed with staff? Or does the reviewer seem to have credibility, and be speaking about the skill of the doctor. Personally, I don’t need my vet to be my friend, I just want him to be excellent at taking care of my animals in a crisis situation- and Dr Ron demonstrated that to us clearly.

Provided by YP.comWe have taken our pets to Dr Ron for 12 years now. We felt and feel that the best interests of our pets ( read family ) are always served there. The front staff in all those years has had a minor bobble once or twice ( misplaced the file for ten minutes and I can't recall the other as it was also minor ) . As to the health and diagnosis of our pets it has ALWAYS been spot on. We had a very sick dog that Dr. Ron helped us through the maze of what different courses of action we could take and the likely prognosis. In the end-he helped us with our dear Shasta's passing and I am forever grateful for the compassion he and his staff had for our family that day. I have complete confidence in Dr. Ron. We currently have 3 cats and one dog, all healthy and happy, nuff said.

Provided by YP.comMy story is I have known Dr. Ron for fourteen years and have taken ALL our animals to him and have found him and his staff to be professional and put the welfare of our animals first and even explaining various methods/ options in order to try and contain costs if something was expensive ( not that our pets don't deserve the best). And believe me, Dr Ron. or no Dr Ron. our pets are family and if he wasn't up to the task, we would take our business elsewhere-it is just too important!!!
I respectfully submit that he is a VERY good vet and an asset to Simi Valley

Provided by YP.comWe have a dog who had a large hematoma in her ear. Took her to Ron's and he performed surgery on her ear, stitched it up with buttons and placed a cone on her head for three weeks. Took her back to have the buttons removed and she was completely healed. A month later she got a hematoma in her other ear from shaking her head so hard. Took her to Ron's and he performed surgery on her ear, stitched it up with buttons and placed a cone on her head for three more weeks. Took her back for button removal, and everything looked great. He did an awesome job and we appreciate his expertise and professionalism. Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I have been dog owners for 40 years. We have known many vets and only wish we would have found Dr Ron sooner. He is an accomplished surgeon; the people there are well trained and friendly. Their rates are reasonable and our dogs love going there!!!

Provided by YP.comI have 2 chihuahuas. One I adopted and he had the worst smelling breath ever. I took him to Dr Ron for a cleaning, and upon examination it was found that he had a couple abcessed teeth. One day I was playing tug-a war with him and a tooth just fell out. Dr Ron not only cleaned his teeth but extracted the nasty ones and all for a very reasonable fee. Now , my dog is happy because his mouth doesn't hurt anymore and I'm very happy because we don't have to smell that fetid breath anymore.
My other dog was on his leash at the park and some dopey kid on a bike wasn't wathchin where he was going and he ran over the leash. My 8 pound dog cried out and limped the rest of the way home. I didn't realize it at the time but he had dislocated his knee caps. Took him to Dr Ron and he asked an ortho specialist to help in surgery. They took him to surgery and after his recuperation his left rear leg is perfect. Now I will probably taken him to have the right rear leg done and I'm totally confident that my dog will run again. And once again Dr Ron did it all for a very nominal fee.
I think he's the best.
Also I went to adopt a dog about 5 yrs ago at Pet Co. And the nasty woman that was in charge there wouldn't let me adopt a dog bacause I put Dr Ron as my vet. That's really something isn't it! I think that some these vicious comments could be coming from her and she should be sued for slander and fired. She sure doesn't help dogs find homes!!! KG

Provided by YP.comDr. Ron and his staff is being unjustly criticized by a few wingnuts who think they should not have to pay their bills. These rescue groups are full of them. We all love our pets and for some reason, these wingnuts think they are the only ones who know how to care for them and they want to dictate to everyone else how it is supposed to be done. Hey, ok...not all rescue people are looney tunes but you gotta search hard to find a sane one. If anyone is in need of a vet; one that really knows his stuff, you should see Dr. Ron. He is an excellent surgeon. He will take on cases that many vets will not attempt to take on because it's too technical for them. He actually saved our dog's life when another vet said it was "too late, it's time to put him down". Dr. Ron gave our dog another 5 good yrs. of life. I'd highly recommend Dr. Ron.

Provided by YP.comI was a K-9 handler with a local police dept for several years. My K-9 partner suddenly became very ill, and if it had not been for Dr Ron and his exceptional staff my partner would not be with us today. My K-9's symptoms were very unusual and complicated. Dr Ron's expertice helped him rule out several possibilities and narrow down what the problem was. Their quick reactions and warm hearts saved a member of my family. I just wanted to say thanks!

Provided by YP.comI worked for Dr. Ron for 10 years and know first hand that every animal and owner that came in to his hospital was treated more than fairly and even if the owners were irresponsible and didn't want to spend any $ on their animal, the pets were always cared for in the best possible way. Unfortunately, most people think animal care should be free and don't treat their pets like family, so they fight medical staff and vets every step of the way.
Many rescue nuts become pet collectors and believe they are the only one's that can care for animals. They are typically mentally ill and in need of medical treatment. When they don't get their way they spend their time making false accusations and writing ridiculous reviews about Dr's who did not give them whatever they wanted when they demanded it.
All of my friends and family's pets are patients of Dr. Ron's and we would never trust anyone else. To this day he is the only Dr that was capable of healing my poodles stomach even after a specialist left me broke and without a solution.

Provided by YP.comWe take all of our small animals to Dr. Ron. He and his staff are always caring, compassionate and professional. My dog actually like to go there! They recently did a major surgery on one of our pets and even though it took several hours longer than anticipated he still charged us the price he estimated beforehand.
I trust Dr. Ron's without reservation and recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who is looking for the absolute best care for their animals.
