Provided by YP.comI have three dogs and have been taking them to Dr. Ron's for many years. Twice I thought I would be losing a beloved pet with severe symptoms. Both times through excellent treatment, and lots of encouragement my dogs completely recovered and are enjoying health again. The office staff is professional and compassionate.

Provided by YP.comI used Dr. Resnick when I first moved to Simi Valley as his veterinary practice was close by. My daughter-in-law wanted her cats teeth cleaned so I referrred her to Dr. Resnick. Something went wrong with the anesthetic and it was touch and go if her cat was going to make it through the anesthesia. Luckily her cat did survive. Because of the problem with the anesthesia, Dr. Resnick was not able to clean her cat's teeth. He charged her for teeth cleaning, plus the shot that he gave the cat to revive it. Siince the cat's teeth were not cleaned, by daughter-in-law tried to negotiate the fee with Dr. Resnick. He did not even give her $1.00 discount. That was the last time my daughter-in-law and I took our pets to him. Ronald Resnick is also listed in Yellowpages.com as Dr. Ron's Animal Hospital. That listing has 9 negative reviews. Please do not take your animal there.

Provided by YP.comAfter being billed for an appointment I did not miss and having my bill immediately sent to a collection agency, I proceeded to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the District Attorney. Dr. Ron's office sent TWO different letters in the same envelope to the D.A. The first letter was full of false allegations, the second letter removed the allegations. Dr. Ron's closing statement sums it all up:
"If possible it would be best to charge her some fee either to you or to us for our additional time dealing with this to help send a message to stop behavior of people who feel if they complain enough they will get their way."
Apparently Dr. Ron thinks you should be fined for complaining about his poor service and unethical business practices.
The guy is a jerk, his staff is rude, and he has shady billing practices. Do yourself a favor, pay a little more and go to a REPUTABLE vet because this guy is NOT!

Provided by YP.comThis man is a complete BUTCHER. He does NOT care about your animal and I'd be willing to bet money you poor pet will have more problems then they went there with after he gets his hands on them. Please for the sake of your animal don't go to him. My dog got hit by a car and he and his staff didnt want to stay late so they sent my BLEEDING dog and I away, telling me to go to Thousand Oaks Animal Hospital. They told me I could have lost him because of the time I wasted before getting him to them. His staff will also make things up to charge you for. Even if you say to them "I only want this one thing done" they find 5 more things that they'll do without telling you before hand and then expect you to pay outragous prices for their less than poor services. My mother lost 2 cats at the hands of this man, and I have friends who have lost their dogs and cats after hes seen them. Please just use caution and stay away from this man and his staff.

Provided by YP.comI understand the the animal adoption people no longer do the adoptions at Teresa's because they would not adopt to people who used Dr Ron because of several animal deaths while in his care. It would also be interesting to see if Teresa's actually use Dr. Ron for their animals. It is also quite interested that in terms of the rating it is all or nothing.

Provided by YP.comIt's fairly common knowledge in Simi that Dr. Ron has enraged the loony toon PETA people of a certain Animal Rescue Volunteer group locally. In fact, they are no longer holding adoptions at the feed supply facility next to Dr. Ron's because of their behavior. I'd read these "reviews" with that in mind.
