An Honest + Efficient Estate Solution Performed by Professionals - You saved us!

We arrived in Phoenix from Virginia at Christmas to help a good friend in the hospital. Our friend, who was single, did not make it, and he left a rented home full of furniture, Hummels, paintings, a car and other items that needed timely identification, distribution and sale at a fair price. It was Auction Ron Brunk to the rescue. We could never have accomplished our friend's final wishes without the assistance of the Brunk family. Item identification, packing, pickup, and transportation to the auction site were done safely, efficiently and in a timely manner without damage. We personally attended the auction and do not believe we could have done better anywhere else. Yard sales were out of the question and an on-site auction at the residence would not have worked for many reasons. Thank you sincerely for coming to the rescue. Sincerely Bill and Jude from Virginia.

Honest auction

With thousands of items from junk to jewels, the items are as well represented as is possible. brunks are as honest as any I have seen in 50 years of going to auctions

Superb auction

Boni,I just wanted to thank you and everyone there for a well run and always interesting auction. I just started attending about 2 months ago, but this is easily my favorite auction. I've been to many more formal auctions in Los Angeles, but the Brunk auction captures a spirit missing from those others. Well done!

Jill. Exactly right. # 28 (Mike) was not calling on 2/10. Check your dates.

I commented on the acution on 2/3. Comment made on 2/6. And yes, Mike (#28) was not calling on 2/10 and has not called since. Ever wonder why?

RESPONDING TO LAST REVIEW

I have been giong to this auction for over a year they have always made it clear, one money, times the bid or choice, and for people that dont understand times the bid I have seen the auctioneer redo the bid numerous times. People like you and the bidder need to stick to garage sales. If you feel like you were screwed this is a auction with used merchandise, grow up take your lumps this is the aucton business. For everyone else its a good auction house with a great staff. JERSEY JOE

Watch Dealer #28 when he is calling items....

Dont know the guys name, but he is a dealer (#28) and sometimes calls items. He will cheat you if he can. Last week he announced that two pictures were "one money" and promptly called them sold as "two times the money". Did the same thing on a "choice" item of glassware that had two items in one box. Be careful when #28 (Short gray haired man) is calling items. He grinned and winked at the staff after getting away with those two. ex: The two pictures sold for 90.00 and the buyer was charged 180.00 . The glassware was 15.00 and the buyer was charged 30.00. Note: If he winks then you just got screwed....

Honest auction

We have done business with the Brunks from before the current auctioineer Eric was born! Brunks Auction is an honest auction, and this can be somewhat of a rarity among auctions. Keep up the good works.Charles and Mary Ellen

Confusion on wesite

Can't find your pictures on the website. When clicking on photo section all I get is more of the same telling of the upcoming auctions. Highlighted words are just advertising for stores and produces. Like your people and enjoy the auction. Don't care much for the crowded way the actual sale goes. Hard to see what is going on as the regulars kind of rule . I am sure you guys know a lot more then I do but a seated auction with items brought up on a stage would be more to my liking. So much for the expert. Thanks for your time. Rick

As a further note........

As you read the reviews, really READ THEM. After posting my post, I found many people were giving this auction house 4 & 5 stars, but in the content of what they said in the review, many had the same complaints I had and some added a few more that I was not aware of, because I didn't stay for the entirety of the auction.I did see where another customer review commented on the way Brunks had let another buyer treated a consignor's merchandise and DID NOTHING. On 6/11/2012, Sandy Saltmarsh review stated that a buyer had spilled a soda on a beautiful chair and then she just "moved away" leaving the damage she had done to the chair and NOTHING WAS DONE. Furthermore, Ms. Saltmarsh gave Brunks a 5 star review, despite the fact she made this statement. It's obvious Ms. Saltmarsh would have had a fit, it it had been her chair, but it wasn't and it was more important to give the Brunks 5 stars....as a buyer. REALLY! As a last note on this topic, I believe this has probably happened many, many times before and either nobody witnessed it or no one wrote a review about it. There are many people that are dissatisfied/disgusted, leave and just say nothing! Also, it's fairly evident that many of the reviewers think all an auction house has to be is "friendly and family owned" to be a good auction house. Apparently, they have only gone to auctions by Brunks and have NEVER BEEN TO A PROFESSIONALLY RUN auction. Personally, I want to deal with professionals, not a friendly family member....who doesn't know a thing about how to run professional auctions.A note to consignor's/sellers. If dealers are picking up the bulk of the items, you KNOW YOU ARE LOSING, as dealers must have a "bumper pad" to make profit. If customers are complaining that dealers are buying the bulk of the items and they cannot compete with the dealers (PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS), then note that this group of buyers, who want to pay EVEN LESS THAN THE DEALERS, are BOTTOM FEEDERS. So, this is your buying pool....dealers, who want to pay 50% to 70% on the dollar, so they can mark it up and make a profit, or people who want to pay even less than 50%....so they can make out like bandits on your antiques/collectibles. This auction house should be ashamed....where are all the antique buyers, you know the ones that pay the real value, because they want that antique or collectible? Well, my guess is that this is who the dealers are selling to and possibly the bottom feeders as well (only they don't have a shop or the contacts to bring full value). As a parting note, if a reviewer is complaining in the text of their review of something that is not quite right at the auction house, yet giving it 4/5 stars in that review, you might want to question that review as a whole. If you are complaining, you shouldn't be given a 5 star review...it's just oxymoronic.

Chaos Auction

I personally won't go to another of their auction. Many of the lots were not marked, only marked by consignor number. When asked about this, I was told "they were too busy" to put lot numbers on items. Many of the items that were attributed, were attributed incorrectly and not to the buyer's advantage. Many of the paintings, lithograph, sketches, etc. were thrown just in a bulk to the side to go through, rather than hanging individually on walls. They were reserving seats for people who had not even shown up for the auction, meanwhile people that were there couldn't find a seat. As a seller, I would strongly not advise selling/consigning your items there, as they allowed patrons to harm items and say nothing (i.e.; guy in scooter chair had to sit where a table for the auction was displayed, took table with glass top threw it up on a couch, but chipped glass top in process. Told staff what happened, they did nothing. Then same guy kept bumping his scooter into the very same table, as it was sitting on couch, nicking and gouging the side of the table with the scooter and nothing was done. Apparently, this buyer must be a regular, as they sacrificed the consignor's item for his benefit). Buyer's may like it, because there is so much chaos going on and inattention to detail on behalf of the staff, that they are getting a deal at the seller's/consignor's expense. So much chaos that many buyers (like myself) refuse to participate, because it was so poorly run, thus driving bid competition away. If I was to consign somewhere, it most certainly would not be here, as I am sure I would loose 50% of the value a good auction place would bring, because the way the auction was run was so poorly done.I have very little good to say about this auction house.

Our first auction

My husband and I purchased a house in Sun City and the first thing we did was to look up auction houses. We found Brunk's and we went on Sunday, Sept. 9. We found what we were looking for and more, met alot of very nice people and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Eric delivered our purchases in perfect shape when he said he would and we couldn't be happier with what we bought. We will be there again and again, whenever we need something for our house. Thanks for the great day!

Incredible Auction

This is one of the best Auction I have ever purchased items from. The staff is extremely helpful, humors and attentive to questions. I have been attending this Auction for over 15 years, even now that I reside out of Arizona. I have purchased some amazing items, such as a Mosaic bracelet, earrings, ring and watch set. Paid about $35.00 for all and my jeweler appraised it at over $300.00 dollars. Many incredible buys for all budgets. I look forward to continued years of shopping. Thank you Brunks for the my incredible buys. Hellen

Pure Enjoyment

I have such fun on my Sundays at Brunks Auction. I have made such great friends there. I can't think of a person working there that doesn't have a smile on their face no matter what. Mostdays you get some of the best bargins ever. And the excitement of bidding. Well if you have never been there you are missing some of the best folks around running it , great people bidding and buying and it is so much fun. They have such a variety in items you just never know what you will find. I think they are the best ever. Keep up the good work family of Brunks Auctions.

Loved It!!!

Yesterday was my first ever auction of any kind and I'm hooked. It was a great way to spend a Sunday and talked to a lot of nice people. Reading the reviews prompted me to write one of my own. I was always taught that if you couldn't say something nice than don't say anything at all especially if it is just to complain. I thought they did a great job!
