Won't go back

Recently bought an electric forklift here, and found when I got back to my shop it had a dead battery. I paid $3800 for the forklift and the battery was another $3500. Brunks should have disclosed the fact that the battery was dead. When I called Richard I was cursed out and called a liar. He is the most unprofessional auctioneer I know, and I know all of them!If you have a disagreement with Richard you can expect the same treatment. My wife and I have been going to their auctions for 20 years, but will never go back.

Nice Staff -

The staff is nice however, the quality of the small merchandise has gone down. I understand the items depend on the estates, or clients. Some of the porch items is nothing but JUNK - I know some peoples junk is another persons treasure. I do agree with some of the other reviews being you can't see what is being auctioned I'm a fan and will be there when I can.

ITS TIME TO UPDATE YOUR WEB SITE AND SOFTWARE

1) DISORGANIZED BECAUSE NO ONE CAN SEE WHAT IS BEING AUCTIONS. TRY USING A LADDER.2) PLEASE HAVE AN EMPLOYEE POLICE THE AREA AND REQUEST NO CELL PHONES. POST SIGNS AND MAKE SURE IT IS ENFORCED3) SENDING OUT AN EMAIL TO GIVE THE DATE BUT NO PICTURES HAVE BEEN UPDATED. OUR LIVES TODAY ARE BUSY WE NEED TO SEE EARLY IN THE WEEK IF YOU HAVE ANY ITEMS WORTH ME WANTING TO COME TO THE AUCTION OR GO UP NORTH FOR THE WEEKEND.4) NO ON LINE BIDDING-SAD IN THIS ELECTRONIC TIMES WE LIVE IN.

Good but behind the times ...

The Brunks Auction used to be my favorite auction house. However, as times have gone by, it has fallen behind. While they charge the same premium as other auction houses, they don't provide "premium service". Shortcomings are:1) Unable to bid on-line or leave bids2) Unable to preview other than on auction day just prior to auction3) Unable to see or hear the items being auctioned4) No "seated" auction atmosphere5) Items are not given lot numbers and itemized6) Buyers responsible for taking possession of items immediately upon gavel; no pay at end and then take possession.7) No computerized system for tracking purchases and generating itemized receipt.8) The pictures that are available on-line have no description available to know what the item is Brunks runs in the auction in a way that makes it easiest on themselves but does not make it optimum on the customer (be it the seller or the buyer). The business needs to be professionalized. Yes it will cost more, but since you already get the same overhead as other auction houses, you should have the funds to do so. In addition, having bidding on-line will generate more monies as you will draw a wider group of bidders thus higher bids.

June 10 th Auction

Dear Mr Brunk ! I really enjoy the Auctions you and your family put together, There is no doubt you all work really hard. But !! this Auction really got under my skin this time, People on there cell phones, people with very loud conversations. standing in the aisles and having even louder conversations. this makes it difficult to see and also hear. don't get me wrong I understand about limited space. I will still come to your auctions I love the experience. I just wish that people would turn there cells off during the auction and lower the voices and focus on the task at hand. The auction. Just a note. I actually wittnessed a lady spill her drink in a beautiful chair for auction and just get up and move to another chair.. the shame and disrespect in that. All said see you next auction. Thanks for your time.... Sandy

Great Auction, but ...

Advertised start time and actual start time are rarely close.Constantly changing the flow makes it hard to plan/judge the approximate time an item might sell.Other than those items , it is a great auction.

HAPPY CUSTOMER

I have gone to many auctions over my lifetime & all have pro's & con's. Brunks is the most honest, friendliest, & well organized I have been too. People complain about the dealers there & about the heat & about the website, the photos, you can't please everyone! Those people always come back! because they know it's an honest friendly place that has good deals, great customers, friendly employees, great food, just a fun place to spend your Sunday !

SUPER people - not so super auction

Truly nice people running the auctions...but, can't seem to ever be able to get to the photo gallery to view in advance. I wish they used a ladder & microphone (I've been to auctions that do this), as so many people crowd around like cattle that it is very hard to see or hear things being auctioned. It's frustrating to miss out because you can't get near the auctioneer. Maybe more organization would be helpful to buyers.

Really Fun!

My family and I love going to this Auction any Sunday we can make it. It's family friendly, which is great as I seldom have time without my boys. The kids that are there are always very well behaved so it makes it enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that there are entirely way too many dealers (store owners) there these days. When I first started going to this auction a year ago, it was easier to get nice things at a decent price. Now I feel that I can't contend with the high bids on some things. However, I do understand that this is a business and the Auction needs to make money too. I love this place though, and will continue to go whenever I can.

Good but could improve

We love auctions and have been to Brunk's many times. It is fun but often we can't see what's being sold because everyone is standing and crowded around. Bleachers would be nice or some kind of camera to show the item up on the wall where everyone can see. Also when jewelry or small items are being sold there are people who plop down on chairs right in front and often don't even buy anything but they end up being the only ones who can see the items. Also the web site isn't updated enough - the web page now has said their next auction is in February and it is almost the end of March - I thought no auctions were going on but then I learned if you checked the pictures there were still new auctions taking place so I missed out.

Can't see

I can't see the pictures. Why bother posting this online if you refuse to post photographs? This is a visual business get a camera, not everyone has all day to waste driving to your auctions on the possibility that you may have what I want this week.. You do not do you customers a service by turning their customers away becuase you refuse to show what is at the auction. Photographs get more customers.

Best Auction in Town!!!

I have been going to the Sunday auctions for a couple of years now and love the fact that it is a family owned business. They are very a honest family. If there is a problem with something that they are auctioning, and they are aware of it, they will tell everyone. Most auctions try and hide that type of thing. The only problem I see with this auction is that Eric's father likes to belittle Eric in front of everyone. I guess he thinks it's funny, but it's actually very sad, Eric appears to be a very hard working young man and to have his father tell him on front of customers that he puts very liitle effort into auctioning some of the items, is ridulous and uncalled for. It only makes him look like a very angry person!!!!

long time cusomer

Great job by all that work there. My only problem is that a good many times I can't get photo gallery to show pictures.

well run auction

Family owned and operated. A great place to find all kinds of things. They are a hard working and honest group. Great place to sell and to buy.

FUN DAY1

Always makes for a fun day at the auction! Both main auctioneers seem fair and have a tough job for sure. Been going to this family's auctions for several years. Only negative comment is : used to have handicap parking spots inside gate. Now that is no longer possible (new building) but they have not replaced those spots anywhere else. I think ADA requires handicap parking at businesses. Otherwise, a very upstanding part of our northwest valley.

A GREAT AUCTION EXPERIENCE!!!

These people are the best! A family run business that is honest, fair and friendly! We've gone to their auctions several times and are always treated very well. This family works their butts off to make a great auction experience for their patrons! They are always friendly and treat us with respect. We've gotten many great items from them at a good price! Keep up the good work!!

Brunk Auction

Well where do I start, the "Brunk Experience" was and still is wonderful experience I bought furniture for my house and then sold that house because the interior was niceand they wanted the furinture too, it helped sell the house and then I did it again, the quality of the furniture is truly amazing, so much that I would take some back to oklahoma each month when seeing my children and grand children, All along the Brunk family became my family Richard and Bonnie, their son Eric, and soon to be, son in law Brandon were always there to make me feel at home. A great place to go on Sundays for great qualty furniture and bargains and truly a good experience, Your friend, Tom Knott
