Good to stay at Harrington for 3 nights. Very convenient location. It is an old hotel , the room is clean with a reasonable price and home like.

We stayed at the Hotel Harrington for 5 nights. The location is excellent….between the White House and the Capital and close to the Mall. Our room never had a small window facing out to the street……Room was small but ok as we were out of the room all day anyways. Bathroom was a bit antiquated but ok – the shower fluctuated a bit from hot to cold so be on guard. The restaurant downstairs was basic – but quite good for breakfast and lunch. I had the ham omelette and it was very good, and came with fried potatoes which were also good. Service was very good (excellent one day, average the next). We also had a couple beer and dinner in Harry’s bar and it was ok (we had chili and wings – both were ok). Lots of school groups stay at the hotel so can be busy in lobby and at breakfast. Breakfast has a buffet, but we just ordered off the menu and as noted above very good). Overall all – average hotel, but great location, and also the best price we could find in that area near the Mall.

Right in the heart of Downtown Washington, D.C., within walking distance of every major attraction. Hotel was worth it for this reason alone.

From a cost benefit perspective, H H is a five star. But not a place to stay if you are looking for contemporary styling.

Location is the best! The price is also very nice. The building is old but the staff seems to take good care of the rooms. They are clean and provided us with a place to rest.

The location of this tourist hotel was just perfect. All downtown sites within walking distance and metro close too. Hotel had character if a little decor dated.

Well, it is superbly located and everybody noticed it. You can reach White House, museums and Lincoln Monument by foot. Our room was quite spacious. There is free wifi. You can find flat iron and kettle in the room.

Booked hotel based on location and it didn't let us down. Central to the White House, Capitol building, Verizon centre and mall. Room was adequate with considerable storage space. Would recommend this hotel when cost effective location is the priority.

Staff was super friendly and helpful! Hotel is over 100 years old and has many cool features not found in more modern hotels. I personally loved the quirkiness of the hotel and was happy to see they kept so many vintage things! So much history in the hotel! Location is amazing! Restaurant staff was awesome and portions were very generous.

Visited with university in December, a group of about 30. Perfect location which is very close to everything. For breakfast I highly recommend going to LINCOLN'S WAFFLE SHOP beautiful food for a very good price. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms we had and the little shop in reception which is full of souvenirs is definitely worth a look around.

Hotel is in a great location. A short walk away from the National Mall and is surrounded by a lot of restaurants & places to eat. The hotel is a bit dated but for the location and price it is fine. Room is nothing special it's clean which is all that matters.

If you're all about fluff & luxury you will pay out-the-nose for it in DC. We want a clean, comfortable room to store our stuff, take a shower, and sleep that's conveniently located to most attractions or a means to get to those attractions - PERIOD. Hotel Harrington is THAT place. It's not pretty or glamorous - it fits the bill of our requirements without taking away from our vacation budget. EVERYTHING in DC is crazy expensive, especially lodging. The photos on Harrington's website are exactly how the rooms appear - but they are clean and the staff is incredibly helpful & kind. The location is perfect - 2 blocks to the metro station, couple blocks from the White House and there was always a taxi available.

We have stayed here several times in the last three years. The hotel recommended parking isn't far, and a competitive price ( I don't know where any free parking is nearby ...) The rooms are a bit small, but in perfectly adequate condition. My wife has never had a complaint. The location is unbeatable during any busy events, as you can avoid the crush for the subways, and don't have to even think about the traffic. We have stayed here just to avoid leaving when everyone else is trying to.

This hotel is in a great location for all the DC sights. It is an older hotel; not luxury. However, a decent price for the centre of the city. The rooms are small, with the bathrooms smaller! That said staff were friendly. The room was ok; comfortable bed, decent shower. A kettle was also in the room. I would recommend..

We are somewhat familiar with Washington, but we have visitors from Poland who wanted to see DC. We found the Harrington to be a good, basic accommodation, and reasonably priced, at least be Washington standards, and a location close to tour bus stops, and the White House.

We got in at 10:30 pm, and they gave us free parking. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Room was tiny, but we were just needing a place to sleep and shower. Very close walk to the White House, so it made it really easy to walk around town.

Clean and reasonable. Best part is walking distance to all major attractions. National mall just a block away. Not the best in facilities, but clean and friendly staff. Stayed for 3 days and enjoyed it. Recommended.
