What I found at Hotel Harrington was better than I had expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bathroom was clean and everything worked fine, apart from the fact that there was no plug for the hairdryer in the bathroom. There was a fridge, a microwave, a water cooker, a hairdryer and even an iron complete with ironing board in the closet. WIFI worked well. The bed was fine, too.

What a amazing experience. This hotel is unique. Very clean, the staff was the best I've seen at any hotel. You can't beat the price & the location. I was so happy we didn't have to take the metro this time. We could walk to all the attractions. My family will be back to stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Harrington in mid-November.

We liked it a lot. True, it is old, but that adds to it's charm.

We were in a Queen room. It was small, but nice. There was a small fridge as well.

The location was excellent. My husband and I walked everywhere, to the monuments, White House, and several of the Smithsonian Museums. The walk was not too strenuous, and I actually enjoyed it. The weather was very good though, to make it more enjoyable.

We ate at the Restaurant and Bar downstairs for one night, and at a Cuban Restaurant close by, another night. Both were very good and reasonably priced.

We agree, that we would stay here again. The location and atmosphere, and price were excellent.

Clean, close to everything & comfortable. The front desk was extremely nice and helpful. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. We will stay here again. The hotel restaurant has huge portions, next time we will split a breakfast.

Old hotel in a great location. We were given a family room which consisted of two room one with a double bed and another with two single beds, each room had a tv and a bathroom. Plenty of plugs and a kettle and fridge in the double bed room. Iron/ironing board also available. We used the laundry there (buy the soap at the gift shop). We also used the safety deposit box available free at reception.

The people who work there were very helpful and friendly. Any concerns we had were met readily if possible. The location was excellent. Though small, the room was just fine, it fit our needs.

The main advantage of this hotel is its location in the heart of Washington, halfway between the Capitol and the White House, near the metro and the Mall. Most of the monuments and historical sites are visitable on foot. The hotel also has the great advantage Having proper one of the few bars / restaurants that drives cool downtown at night when offices were emptied. We had a decent room, that is quite simple and not very big but clean and comfortable which was very adequate for our stay. The price / quality ratio is great in a city where most other hotels are often unaffordable. Ideal for individuals or families who do not have a huge budget. We will return without hesitation for our next visit to the American capital.

This is an 100 year old hotel but it is clean and reasonable. The location is the best part!! It is in walking distance of most all of the attractions of DC. The staff was friendly and helpful. The map they had out for free is the best I have seen for the DC area.

Hotel Harrington will be a memorable experience for a long time to come. It is exactly as advertised, "100 years old," this year. Everywhere you look you see history. From the mailbox to the room venting, electrical conduit, and plates that must be covering the initial gas lighting in the rooms...the place left me wondering exactly where we were in our everyday lives back in 1914. This hotel is the last family owned and operated hotel in DC. It is close to everything! Walk or take any of a variety of transportation. Leave your car parked and enjoy the city instead of dealing with the traffic. (Parking is free!) The room we enjoyed was quiet and the beds offered a good night's sleep. There are several restaurants close by, including two in the hotel, offering a nice variety of eateries. Best of all, the price of the rooms is quite reasonable. The next time we're in DC we will definitely go back to the Harrington.

This is a very old but modest hotel location is excellent, walking easily got to the museum area to the White House and monuments, subway stations and two blocks in the corner passing buses. The hotel price is worth it. If you want to save this is the hotel for you.

This hotel was a bit dated, but it was clean. The best thing about it is the location. It is walking distance to the National Mall and other sites. There is also a major Metro station within walking distance. The price was great and wifi worked.
