This place was awesome! I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning. The staff was great, so was the food and I recommend doing the horseback riding, there's an extra fee for it, but, but it's worth it!

Best value for your money. Food is great. Outdoor winter activities are enjoyed by all ages. Paul has been overly accommodating.
If you are expecting things to be similar to be staying at the Waldorf then you shouldn't be coming to a dude ranch in the first place. When I read all of the reviews prior to coming, I started to wonder if we should cancel. Boy am I glad that I didn't. Complimentary beer and wine at dinner and bloody marys or mimosas at breakfast make it that much better. The Italian hero at lunch was amazing. Dinner meals were also awesome.

We just got back from our third visit to Pinegrove. As always, we had a great time. The staff was super friendly, the kids were always busy, the food was great and the room was very comfortable. We took along our neighbor's kids this go around and they LOVED their first visit to the ranch. No, its not a 5-star luxury vacation but it sure is a wonderful, down to earth good time. The haunted walk for Halloween was a ton of fun. What a talented group of people you have who put that together. One of the main things that sticks with me from our visits to the ranch are the great people you meet, both staff and guests. Thank you for another great visit!!

My husband and I spent a weekend away without our kids and had a fabulous time. I was slightly nervous after reading many mixed reviews but everything exceeded all of my expectations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and far beyond expectation. Riding was wonderful and very relaxing. If you're expecting a 5 star hotel you will be sadly disappointed because that is not what you're going to get. This is a ranch and that's what you get 100℅. I can't wait to come back soon with my kids and be able to enjoy more time here!

Pine Grove is a great place to go with family and friends. All the staff is friendly and wonderful. The Wranglers at the barn are very friendly and helpful for inexperienced riders as well as experienced. I recommended Pine Grove Dude Ranch to so many people, I hope they enjoy it as much as we do. Having a Starbucks in the lobby is brilliant . We are planning to go back again next year being our 5th Year. Keep up the good work Pine Grove staff

We had a great time and already recommended the place to family and friends. The room was OK, could have been a bit cleaner. The food was good and certainly plentiful! Our 3 boys ate all the time! The 10 year old loved the pudding contest, the 12 year old lived on slushies and the 14 year old could be seen with a cheeseburger hanging out of his mouth at any time of the day or night. Dodgeball games, Bingo, Kickball games, funny shows (12 year old still telling some the jokes), Karaoke, etc...all were great. The staff were wonderful, the riding fantastic and the paintball amazing! The room was strictly for showering and sleeping after an exhausting day!

Family first, all the way. We spent New Year's with another family - 11 of us in all - at Pinegrove. Everything comes down to the staff who clearly work as a family and love what they do. Several times, we had a member of the staff go out of his or her way to make sure our kids were happy, from the horseback rides to the games. The staff was having fun and that set the tone for our 3-day trip.

It was great to have plenty of space to crash in the room, though we spent almost no time there because we were always busy. Will say that the beds and pillows made for great sleeping. As far as activities go, there's something for everyone. The pool was big enough to never feel crowded during a very busy weekend. The kids all took a shot at the rock wall and wore themselves out on the huge bouncer. They ate their fill at the snack bar and I held my own with the free ice cream. Didn't get a chance to try ice skating, but loved that it was on a pond - very cool. Lots of other things we didn't try, so we'll be back!

We booked in the morning (impromtu) and arrived in time for happy hour which was free! There were also delicious fresh veggies and dip. The kids headed right for the snack bar. After check in we went to the snack bar and I was pleasantly surprised that along with the free burgers, dogs, fries, icecream, they also offered a veggie burger and fresh fruit cup (both impressingly good!) The room was big with a flat screen TV. My boys loved it there and did not want to go home. They went snow tubing, swimming, target shot, played mini golf, ping pong, air hockey, basketball machine, video games, bingo, ring the cow and could have done much more. We were there for two nights and one day. There was always something going on. The food was very good! After an initial problem with service in the dining room, the manager of the dining room and the manager of the resort were so helpful and rectified the problem immediately, and we were taken care of like stars.

"This place blows Disney away!" Says my 9 year old. Pinegrove Ranch has given me the most amazing vacation I ever had. The whole atmosphere is relaxed, happy and friendly. The rooms are cleaner, well maintained and very comfortable. The food is so delicious and unlimited. The staff is friendly and helpful and everyone always has a smile on their faces. The expansive property is well maintained and has so much to do for everyone.
The most amazing part is the horseback riding program. The horses are friendly, beautiful and very well taken care of. The wranglers are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and all around awesome. The trail rides take you on a journey that one only has in their dreams.
All I can say is that I will return every year and then some! I never want to go anywhere else for a vacation.

What a down to earth great time with friendly and accommodating staff (which you don't really see anywhere anymore) Kids ran around and played games, so many free games set up ...ping pong, ring toss, corn hole, swimming spending time with animals. Plenty of unique things to look at In the beautiful homey lobby, and large tables and chairs so there's room to spend time with family and friends playing games comfortably. the food was awesome !!! Our room and the water in general was definitely not great but that is not what we came for.... we spent very little time in our room because of all the activities and things to do. This is the first vacation in a long time where I don't feel ripped off going home. I think maybe people writing the bad reviews wanted a fake "glam ranch" which this place is definitely not.

Too early for check-in, we thought, but at the front desk, not only was our room ready but they had upgraded us to a bigger room with no charge. We were told lunch was being served now but if we missed it, the snack bar was always open. It was a little daunting getting to our room as we had to go up and around a dirt road, park and then carry our bags quite a ways in order to get there but it was doable. Now that we stayed there, we know the shortcuts to our room and packing up was MUCH easier for us. I was a little worried about the room because I had read some bad reviews about cleanliness and such but I was pleasantly surprised, it was super clean and quite nice, just as nice as most other hotels I’ve stayed in. There were plenty of blankets and pillows and a kick-butt air conditioner that was awesome on such a hot day.

Had another awesome vacation . Erin gave us the best advanced ride. Julia also gave a awesome advanced ride. Hotel staff are very accommodating. The food was tasty . If riding is your thing this is the place to go. The horses are well trained and the barn staff is knowledgable . Thanks to Paul for making our trip wonderful. We will be back in August

Of course my favorite part was the ranch and horseback riding! I had a great time on the advanced rides as the horses are responsive, the wranglers are fun and knowledgeable, and the trails are beautiful. It was exciting to find deer, frogs, chipmunks, rabbits, and turkeys during the rides. Although I have to say the best experience throughout my stay was the BBQ Lunch Ride. This entailed an hour ride to the lake where you then take a nice lunch break and enjoy some good food and then go on another hour ride back through the trails. I had perfect weather and wouldn't have wanted to spend my afternoon any other way! It's a special treat you won't find anywhere else in the area. I was also comforted by the fact that the horses are happy and well-taken care of, they get lots of pasture time during the night and on their days off, and the wranglers love the horses and their job.

I definitely hope to go back to Pinegrove soon and would I highly recommend it to anyone else that is looking for a fun getaway!

Great fun, food, activities. Best vacation for the price anywhere. Spent five nights with a senior bus group and acted like kids. This is an ideal place for young families to vacation and the old kids like us too.

Our Senior group spent 6 days-5nights being wined and dined and entertained at the Pinegrove Dude Ranch. Everyone had a marvelous time. Some enjoyed horseback riding while the rest of us participated in various activities the ranch offered such as archery, shuffleboard, miniature golf, swimming, trivia games - just to name a few.
Three great meals a day and wine/beer and appetizers every night prior to dinner.
A chance to burn off some calories after dinner with line dancing, square dancing, etc.
Everyone agreed it was a great trip and we will definitely do it again.

Took a vacation from retirement and spent a heavenly 5 days. The accommodations were fabulous, food was scrumptious and thanks to Mike, Erin and Flynn, the hosreback riding was the highlight of the week. Take good care of Chance and we'll see you all next year.

Pinegrove is a great destination for anyone, families, singles or seniors. First and foremost, they have a dedicated and caring staff who will cater to your needs. Everyday is filled with lots of activities to participate in if you choose. Of course, the horseback riding is what many visitors come for. There are many horses to meet anyone's ability. Each day the wranglers take different trails. Going in the fall was just breathtaking as the trails meandered through the woods and each turn was more beautiful than the next. The meals are terrific as new chef Walter has been a great addition to this property. There are daily selections to select from and they are all....just wonderful. Take a week or a long weekend vacation up to this fun filled destination. Any time of year is great.

We did a private ride as a family and progressed from the beginning trail to the intermediate trail. At the end of our trip we did a BBQ lunch ride with Lou and Jess and it was awesome. They are the best, the kids are still talking about this trip and the horses. I have never had so much fun! Mike the foreman has done such a wonderful job picking an awesome team of wranglers because they were all great. This is the first vacation I have had in 4 years and thank you so much for making it memorable. We will definitely be coming back in cooler weather.

Well where do I start? Professional and respectful staff whether it was at the front desk, bar area, sign-up locations, bingo etc... Rebecca and Barbara were both very informative and helpful over the phone. Daily events were pre-planned at the front desk for all guests, which made our day easy and stress free to plan. I did personally meet the owner, David who greeted us with a smile and a hand shake. If you want to take a pleasant vacation that's dedicated to fun for all ages, this is the place. An owner and his Ranch/Resort that doesn't operate based on greed, but has passion for what he does. Pinegrove is reasonably priced especially for all the accommodations that come with it. Their stables and horses are well taken care of and the wranglers are highly trained.

We went to Pinegrove and had a really good time granted it is rustic and not a fancy but we knew this coming here, the staff is AMAZING!! they are all so sweet and friendly, the food is average hot dogs, burgers etc, my husband ordered their garden burger and he found it very good overall we will be back the kids really enjoyed themselves.
