I'm off to a great start! I'm 18 years old, and I do not have a lot of experience under my belt, in fact the Acting Corps is the first school I have attended. But I did my homework before I signed on, so I did not go in blind. I am currently in the Boot Camp program, and I am loving it. Love my classmates and my teachers, can't wait for class tomorrow (the weekends make me sad now).

I'm a character actor, and with the training and tools I got at the Acting Corps, I have been booking like a Mofo. I'm not a guy who likes to write a lot details and to go on and on about things, but I did want to tell all you guys out there that this is a good place.

I highly recommend taking classes here, they are so choice. Bonus points to everyone who gets that reference, but I do really think the classes at The Acting Corps are very good, and people should discover then for themselves.

Acting is a hard business to get into to, you need to have the right tools for the job. The Acting Corps gave me these tools, and I am no my way. it's not an easy path, but at least now i am ready when I get the chance, which is more then most "actors" in Los Angeles can say. I am an Actor, not an "Actor."

Best of the best. Better then ...

Best of the best. Better then the rest. To this I can attest. I truly do not jest. Go there at my behest.

Yes, I liked them very much. No, I do not have anything negative to say. Yes, you should check them out. i am not one to write a massive paragraph about my experiences, but in appreciation of the great training they gave me, I will do my best to pitch them to the YP readers.

Their program is built upon a Meisner base, which I had been exposed to before in a small way, but I hadn't really gone there until I went to the Acting Corps. I feel it really changed how I saw things. And unlike some Meisner programs, they also do scene work, so it's not just theoretical, and they do it from the start, week one. And though Meisner is great, it's not with it's all about, they have mixed in all sorts of other tools into the scene work classes, including Michael Chekhov.

As I said, I am not one to pontificate, so I think I'll leave it at that. Check them out.

I attended classes here about ...

Just do it already! I did bootcamp 1 and 2 here and I thought it was great. I had never done an acting class before this one, but now that I've been in LA for awhile and have studied at several places, I can look back and say that this place is among the best.

This is a great place. I first discovered acting in high school, and carried it through to college. Most of what I learned was "method" stuff, which is great for some things, but has it's limits I feel. I think I hit a wall. Then I found the Acting Corps.

They started with Meisner, which really got me out of my head, I have always been one of those guys who thinks too much about things. Everything I needed to know was right there in front of me, in my scene partner, I just had to listen and respond.

but even though I think Meisner is a great foundation, it is not enough by itself. Of course I still use all thin things I learned in college, but I use thin in conjunction with the Meisner base, and fit all works much better and i can go places I never could before.

And then, after I'd been there awhile, I was introduced to Michael Chekhov. Not literally, the man is dead, but I was introduced to his teachings. It's all about the body, and it was like nothing I had studied before. I love it. And it's great for auditions when you don't have someone you can connect to in the moment (like when you have a bad reader).

I could go on and on, but just check them out, it's a great program if you have the time to devote to it.

Can I just say that The Acting...

I've been to a handful of acting teachers/classes and I actually really enjoy The Acting Corps in Noho. The classes are small and much more personal than that of a larger class. Some people I guess prefer larger classes, but I think the more personal the better. Everyone there had really great input and were just as serious as the next person. They have classes based on your acting level so you can pretty much start from the bottom and work your way up. I paid about $200 with a groupon which is very reasonable considering other places I've been.

There were definitely times that I was uncomfortable and it didn't feel like a cae walk at all, but those were also the days that I left feeling the most accomplished. Overall, I had an excellent experience here and I think it's a great place for beginners or seasoned actors.

The Acting Corps is the best place for any actor starting out to hone in on their craft. The classes are so fun! Its a great place to learn how to develop material and learn various techniques. All the teachers are really interested in what they do and provide the tools to develop your own style as an actor. One thing I really appreciated here was the intimate class sizes.

I'd recommend this to anyone who is trying to break into the biz. It will really help you on booking jobs and breezing through auditions.

As a usual Groupon-ist I am, I found a great deal for this place on Groupon. Spring break was coming along and I was having the urge to go try this out. Not surprise this is located in Hollywood!

Besides the fact that I wanted to try this out, i knew deep down that if i take these acting classes, it would be really helpful for me to interact with people and be comfortable with myself. Personally, I am definitely not a social butterfly unless I'm in my comfort zone. These classes were such a worthy investment. Not only did I enjoy myself, I learn how break into different characters and be someone I'm not for the fun of it! It's interesting as to what a person and your peers can do. It's only fun if you make it fun. I was quite nervous and shy when i had my first class, but as time progresses I broke out of my bubble and made the best of every class I attended. People who take these classes are great. Majority of the people are all here for the same reasons. Everyone is very welcoming to one another. Don't feel hesitant about coming here or taking the classes. I started in the beginner class which they call it Bootcamp 1. I honestly enjoy every class session that I had. I learned so much but I'm not looking forward into getting serious with the whole acting business. Just went here for my own personal reasons. All in all, this is a wonderful place if you are interested in acting and wanting to pursue it, definitely come here!

So I came rolling into the Acting Corps hoping to get edge-a-ma-cated in the ways of Acting. I admit that I was not the most knowledgeable about the different techniques, and I knew nothing of this Meisner guy. But I learned a lot. I stayed for awhile, and before I left, I did a showcase that the school put together and I left with an agent! A good one too.

Excellent place to study acting, the best I have seen. Truly capital teachers and facilities. Meisner based, which I think is excellent.

I'm a bit older then the average acting student, and I have probably has a little more success early in my career then most of them, but I had to leave town for a time for my ailing mother. Now I am back, and the world out here is different, I feel it's more cutthroat. I felt I needed to learn some new skills in order to compete. I had just a cursory knowledge of Meisner before, so I thought I'd dive in, and I picked the Acting Corps. I did not want to commit years learning a new tool; I've lost enough time, so IO figured their intensive program would be best. And it was great. They are miracle workers.
